Really lovely boutique hotel in an incredible location in the centre of Florence. Less than 5 mins to Piazza della repubblica and Ponte Vecchio. Room was a great size with a huge, comfortable bed. Staff incredibly friendly and very helpful, giving great advice on the sights of Florence.

Breakfast was also great and on until 12 so you can enjoy a very long lazy lie-in on your holiday, which is a great touch and can't always do at others hotels. There is also a great restaurant right around the corner (Trattoria Marione). Everything we wanted from our trip and would definitely use this hotel again

Room mate Isabella is an amazing hotel with an even more amazing staff. Prime location and close to everything in florence. The friendly staff, in particular Simona, helped us plan our stay, and when we decided to spend an extra day in florence she helped us book a room. Since the rooms at isabella were out of our budget for that extra night she called room mate Luca, which is their sister hotel 15 minutes away, and got us a beautiful room which was in our budget. During my three week excursion through Italy room mate isabella was my favorite hotel. It was clean, had a great location accessible to all the sites, and very friendly/accommodating staff. The only thing is, since it is in the city center there can be noise, however I only experienced it once out of the 5 nights I was there. Can't wait to return!!!

This hotel is in the centre of Florence - imagine Rodeo drive in Hollywood. We could walk to everywhere with ease. Loved the location.

The rooms were standard European sizes with a few a bit bigger. Ask for the rooms in the back which are much quieter as the main pedestrian street below can be very bustling.

My husband especially appreciated the toiletries provided, which were of good quality. None of those soap that are slimy etc.
We both liked he bedding very much. The bed was a slightly cheaper variation of latex but it was far superior than a lot of the other hotels I have stayed in (travelling 5 star mostly for work, only hotel chain better would be the Hyatt chain). The rooms were also well sound proofed I felt.

My only complaint would be breakfast. The selection doesn't change much (stayed for 5 nights). They also are clueless when it came to scrambled eggs, so don't bother. The cappuccinos could have been better made.

Situated properly in the center, it is a small yet very elegant hotel. The rooms are not big however delightful with their colorful furniture, wallpaper and frames that you feel you are in some English tea saloon. Although there is no lift from the ground floor, the luggage carrier is at one's disposal imminently, The staff is gorgeous:welcoming, multilingual and very helpful in terms of orientation and tips for shopping, restaurants, traditional things!!!! What I also liked especially is the multi-nationality of the staff from the kitchen cook to the room maid.

Room Tip: Any room is good for if int he view you don't have Bulgaria, you have Cavalli!!!!

Situated on high fashion lane, Via Tournabuoni, Room Mate Isabella offers comfort and convenience, while maintaining its historic charm. The interior helps you image what it may have been like when Victorian novelist George Eliot stayed there in the late 19th century. In addition to clean rooms and exceptional service, the hotel is a short stroll from the Santa Maria Novella train station, as well as the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery. Those with heavy luggage should be prepared to climb a long flight of stairs to reach the reception and the tight antique elevator. Also, more counter space, towel bars, and new showers would make the rooms more comfortable. Overall, a great stay with a good breakfast that includes eggs made to order. For dinner, head to Via Ghibellina, where you’ll find Michelin recommended options.
