“worth a visit, nice building, good range of paintings”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

this is a bit off the beaton track but well worth a visit, nice building, good range of paintings, and the building inside is also magnificant, the gardens are a wonderful relief after hot florence, it is not busy, and the throne room with its wonderful ceiling fresco's with trompel'oeil corners are just spectacular.

“Get a Layout of the Palace and Grounds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

I didn't have a map or layout of the palace and grounds and found it a little confusing to navigate. I toured a couple of the museums in the palace and then got blissfully lost in the gardens.

“Ordinary”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

It looks very ordinary from outside. We visited at the closing time so could not go inside. Do not know how the interior is.

“Vast palace, museum and art gallery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Packed with art treasures. Former home of the fabulously wealthy Medici Duke Cosimo I. The Boboli Gardens boast terrific views of the city, though it involves a steep climb to see them. Allow plenty of time. It's a vast complex.

“Good Art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

The Galleria d'Arte Moderna has art from the 19th century and is a very good gallery. There are many good paintings and many good sculptures. The best sculpture is that of Saint Sebastian. The artist was Pio Fedi and it received much favorable attention when it was exhibited for the first time in the Academy of Florence in 1844.
