We found the Pitti palace on the south side of the river on our first day and didnt know which of the two combinations of tickets we should choose. We chose the one that gave access to the Boboli gardens, porcelain museum, costume collection and Bardini gardens. It took us several hours to explore these areas but we wished we had taken the ticket that granted access to the Palace royal apartments which we didn't realise was only available on a different ticket. The gradens were a little bare at easter but photographs suggest that they are magnificent later in the season.
