“Better Art”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

I found the modern art in the palace much better than the old 'nude' art. There was more expression, more reality, more feeling, more pain in modern art than in mythological and spiritual nude art. the Boboli Gardens are nice and relaxing as well.

“So many museums, so little time”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

A person could spend as much time here (including the Gardens) that a day would not be enough. We were here during a "free admission day" for Heritage Day. You can buy limited admissions, but don't. Expect to spend an entire half day or more. So much statuary, relics, riches and beauty. Remember, this used to be the home of the Medicci family and consider, in today's dollars, they would have 10 times more wealth than the Gates family and were an economy unto themselves.

“It's all about the gardens”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

The palace is huge and very impressive, but it is the Boboli Gardens in the back of this palace that were the show stopper for me. Terraces on terraces, greenhouses, ponds, fountains, private tea rooms overlooking the Duomo.... It was fabulous to be out of doors instead of in a church; it was a pleasant break. Pack a lunch and relax on the lawn or under a cypress tree. It is worthy.

“Stunning day trip”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

The Pitti Palace exceeded our expectations. The art was breathtaking and the amount was spectacular. The Biboli gardens and the grotto were so gorgeous, so beautifully manicured and the view from the top was amazing. We loved it all and would go back if we are lucky enough to come back to this stunning city.

“Unbelievable Opulence!!!”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

The tour focuses on the art of the great masters, which is certainly worth seeing. But the palace itself is a museum of ornately decorated wealth that dwarfs Buckingham Palace. Amazing.
