My wife and 12 year old daughter signed up for a tour with Freya's Florence Tours. From the first contact by email , the communication was always prompt and informative as Graham arranged everything and kept us informed at every step. After hearing our interests, Freya suggested a custom of the Uffizi and Accademia with Ann-Sofie. Because of the world cycling championships held in Florence the very week we were there, there were some last minute adjustments that had to be made due to the parts of the city being blocked for the races. These were handled smoothly and efficiently. Ann-Sofie was warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about art and Florentine history and contributed immeasurable to our appreciation of the wonders in the Uffizi and David's home in the Accademia. We had Ann-Sofie for over 4 hours and it was well worth the 280 Euro cost. Freya even booked a table for us after the tour for lunch and Ann-Sofie dropped us off there. I cannot recommend Freya's Tours highly enough. They will enrich your stay in Florence and the memories that are created will last a lifetime.

Our intrepid group of four was lucky to have the wit and wisdom of Sara for four glorious hours through Florence's magical historical sights and treasures. An amazing young woman who can weave facts covering 200+ years of history into an exciting story that make you want to go back to school and major in art history! This is a not-to-miss experience, and from what I've read, Freya has selected a top- notch crew of guides. We are so glad we had Sara and hope that when she visits the US, there is someone here to give her as good a tour as she gave us!

I am not much of a guided tour person, but this was quite the exception. Freya is not only incredibly knowledgeable about Florence's art, history, and culture...she also has an amazing energy and passion for her adopted city. We not only got a wonderful walking tour of the city, we also got shopping tips on food, jewelry, and her favorite spots to hang out. I can now tell you what century a building is from, how Florence came to prominence in the Renaissance, and more about Michelangelo's David than I ever thought possible. Bring comfy shows, as she keeps up a brisk pace...but if you do only one tour in Florence this is the one to do!

Our group loved this tour, as Freya's passion, knowledge and spirit enthused and entertained us as we traveled through time in the beautiful city of Florence. This tour is an excellent way to get your bearings, to understand the history and to hear the stories of how Florence became the amazing city it is today.

You will see the city from ancient times through the Renaissance, as the art, people and culture comes to life!
What's not to love?

Our party of four was warmly greeted by our professional and reliable guide, Lisa, in our hotel lobby. Throughout the tour she expertly shared her extensive knowledge and passion of Florentine culture. Lisa educated us in the growth of the arts as it passed through two hundred years leading to the Renaissance. We came away from the half day tour with a much greater appreciation of the masters and the significant role Florence played coming out of the Dark Ages. Lisa provided much history and insight as we viewed Michelangelo's David and his unfinished The Prisoners. The perspective given for these magnificent works of art is one we will never forget. As we walked from the Uffizi to Academia Lisa again made us aware of both historical and modern points of interest in Florence. No hesitation in recommending Freya's private tours of Florence!
