“Sara's magical history tour!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

Our intrepid group of four was lucky to have the wit and wisdom of Sara for four glorious hours through Florence's magical historical sights and treasures. An amazing young woman who can weave facts covering 200+ years of history into an exciting story that make you want to go back to school and major in art history! This is a not-to-miss experience, and from what I've read, Freya has selected a top- notch crew of guides. We are so glad we had Sara and hope that when she visits the US, there is someone here to give her as good a tour as she gave us!

“Absolutely amazing”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

I am not much of a guided tour person, but this was quite the exception. Freya is not only incredibly knowledgeable about Florence's art, history, and culture...she also has an amazing energy and passion for her adopted city. We not only got a wonderful walking tour of the city, we also got shopping tips on food, jewelry, and her favorite spots to hang out. I can now tell you what century a building is from, how Florence came to prominence in the Renaissance, and more about Michelangelo's David than I ever thought possible. Bring comfy shows, as she keeps up a brisk pace...but if you do only one tour in Florence this is the one to do!

“Fabulous!”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Our group loved this tour, as Freya's passion, knowledge and spirit enthused and entertained us as we traveled through time in the beautiful city of Florence. This tour is an excellent way to get your bearings, to understand the history and to hear the stories of how Florence became the amazing city it is today.

You will see the city from ancient times through the Renaissance, as the art, people and culture comes to life!

“Renaissance Florence”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Our party of four was warmly greeted by our professional and reliable guide, Lisa, in our hotel lobby. Throughout the tour she expertly shared her extensive knowledge and passion of Florentine culture. Lisa educated us in the growth of the arts as it passed through two hundred years leading to the Renaissance. We came away from the half day tour with a much greater appreciation of the masters and the significant role Florence played coming out of the Dark Ages. Lisa provided much history and insight as we viewed Michelangelo's David and his unfinished The Prisoners. The perspective given for these magnificent works of art is one we will never forget. As we walked from the Uffizi to Academia Lisa again made us aware of both historical and modern points of interest in Florence. No hesitation in recommending Freya's private tours of Florence!

“We Will Be Back - Awesome”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Sara, what can we say, we loved fell in love with your beautiful city, and you. What a fantastic half day introductory tour. With two teenagers in tow, Sara made her city come to life from the ancient times to the current day - the teens were awestruck as were the adults. We will definitely be back and asking for Sara to show us more of her amazing city. So much to see, to do, to eat and Sara told us all. She is so knowledgable it is inspiring. A big thank you to Graeme as well for helping to organise this for us. And booking the restaurant after seeing David - it was fantastic and just what was needed after an extremely memorable morning. Thank you both for making Florence so special and to Sara who is immensely proud of her city - and imparting that to us. Highly recommend you do a tour with Freya's of Florence - Well done Freya for creating this.
