The place is clean, warm and the people from the recepction is very kind and helpful. It's near from the train station and in a few minutes walking you're at the historical centre. The cost-benefit is good.

I loved this adorable little place - it was such a welcoming spot to arrive at after being awake and sleep deprived during my 36 hours of travel. I was so exhausted my brain wasn't working properly, and I needed help with everything, down to figuring out how to get in and out of my lovely room! Roberto and Mauritzo (hope I'm spelling that right) were so helpful and went out of their way to get me oriented. (Mauritzo was so helpful with wake-up calls, and he also called a taxi for me.) This place is so easy to navigate; practically around the corner from Santa Maria Novella Train Station, with the bus station just a five-minute walk beyond that. It was also a delightful walk (15 minutes or so) to the main sights in Florence, such as the Duomo, The Accademia, and The Uffizi. My room was lovely and simple, a single with a bathroom. It was very clean and well appointed; my bed was so comfortable. I was able to open the huge window and hear the sounds of the city; the bells and people speaking Italian - that's what I wanted to hear! There was a room down the hall from me with a coffee machine that made cappucino, and an assortment of delicious pastries, fruit, and fruit juices. I really needed that when I had to get up at 5 a.m. the morning of my departure! There was a cute little "Italia Mamma " in there the first time I went; she was so sweet and she served me. Massimo and Andrea were gracious and accommodating as well for my last night and the following morning when I had to leave. What did I love the most about Hotel Fiorita besides the wonderful staff? The old-fashioned elevator to the third floor of the building, where the hotel is - a charming little delight. Everything was delightful about this place, and I can't wait to return, hopefully having had more sleep!

The hotel is an incredibly nice surprise. Great location (just a 2 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station), you'll find it on the third floor of a rather worn-out building. Don't let the looks of the building scare you, though, for the Fiorita is a hidden gem: clean and spacious rooms in which you'll find all the amenities of modern life, such as a 21st-century bed with clean sheets, flat-screen tv, heating that actually works and a renovated bathroom, with a great shower. The staff goes out of its way to make your stay as comfortable as it can be, incredibly polite and thoughtful, particularly for Italian standards. One bad thing is that there's no free wi-fi (at least I couldn't figure out how to use it). All in all, great value for money!

We stayed at the Hotel Fiorita for one night in December. It was very conveniente to the train station, clean, and well-decorated. The down side was a fairly noisy street-facing room (although I asked for a quiet room). Staff were okay, but when I asked if they has quieter rooms I was told "all of our rooms are quiet). Hmmm.

If street noie doesn't bother you, this would be a great place.

Room Tip: We had a street-facing room, which was quiet noisy. I don't know if there are any quieter ones...

all rooms facing the street are provided with double windows and sound proof glasses;
this guarantees a good quality of insonorization; we are sorry this has been not enough for you.We are glad you appreciated all the other services of the hotel.
Many thanks for the time you dedicated our home and wishing you all the best for 2014.

I stayed 8 nights in Nov 2013 in Florence, all in Fiorita.

It is 3 mins away from Stazione SMN, practically across the street from it, very convenient. It also has a big supermarket 1 street away.

We were given a room with a queen and another single bed, the room is big enough to sleep 3. The room looks somewhat old, but well maintained and not an issue for us since we were barely in the room much. The showers temperature were consistent and toilet clean. Heater was working fine during winter. The room was basic overall but it gave us everything we needed.

The breakfast was 1 level above our room level and the view from the breakfast is just as those in the pictures - NICE! The breakfast variety was great, in fact the best since we stayed in B&Bs the rest of our trip. They made scrambled eggs and sausages everyday and you can expect at least 3 types of croissants, ham, cheese, bread and fruits. They also had different types of tea!

Most of the staff were very friendly; the only staff we couldn't get to smile and say buongiorno was the lady who cooked breakfast. She seemed to have difficulty looking at guests and smile. Well, I would cut her some slack since she had to wake up before 7am every morning to cook us breakfast haha.

Would consider returning to stay if we come back to Firenze. Oh did I mention that the wifi was fast?

Dear Andy,

our staff is always at client's disposal for any enquiries they need; feel sorry if the personell at the bar did smile at you ; she is only very shy. We keep trying to motivate our staff to respond to client's needs in the best way.
We are really happy to learn that you appreciated our breakfast : the best in Italy as you declared.
Many thanks for the time you dedicated in writing this feedback;

This hotel is a block or two from the train station. Great if you are traveling throughout Italy by train. Close to many restaurants/bars/shops and an easy walk to the main tourist attractions. Rooms are larger than expected but they are situated on many different floors and difficult to get to with large bags sometimes. They have wine and snacks in a kitchen area in the evenings which is a plus not seen often in hotels at this price range. We did have one of the rooms with a balcony but it was unfortunate that it looked out at all the homeless sleeping on the street at night.

Spent three nights at this hotel. The only downside was that there was no wifi. Nice and close to the train station and many attractions. Free tea, coffee, pastries and bread.

Breakfast was lovely. Eggs and sausages, breads, pastries, fruits, yoghurt, cheese, cold cut meat.

Decent room size. Lighting was a bit dim.
