We stayed there for one night. It's place is good, just 2 minutes from the famous Santa Croce, we could actually see the church from our room. The staff is helpful, and they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out on Sunday morning, so we could continue our tour across the city till our train time in the evening.

The only negative side is that the heating system in the room was not keeping it warm enough. Though we made it at highest possible, we were still feeling a little bit cold. Maybe it's because the room is spacious, with a high ceiling. But I would say the hotel management should consider improving the room heaters :)

If we went to Florence again, we would consider staying there too :)

I have stayed here for 20 days, and it is an absolutly excellent hotel in the heart of Florence, right next to the churce of Santa Croce. It is a quiet and cleen hotel with a very helpful owner and staff.

Room Tip: Ask if you can get one of the rooms with a kitchen.

We were happy with our stay here in September and can recommend this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice continental breakfast buffet. The rooms were adequate. We had a triple that turned out to be a suite with two bedrooms (each with a queen size bed) and a kitchenette. The hotel is child-friendly and we actually had a wooden crib for the baby. They have a private parking space if you have a (small) car, otherwise they are 3 blocks from a valet parking lot. The price was very good for the location and room size.

Yet again, we got it right following the reviews on trip advisor. We booked this hotel looking at the rating on trip advisor. It did turn out that the service at the hotel was really good. The staff were quite friendly and never said no to any help. The rooms were quite peculiar for a hotel though (in a nice way). We were surprised to see a private kitchen in the room. The room was quite spacious and very well maintained. Location wise its in the old city center of Florence. so every thing is just walking distance from the hotel. One word of advice though, if you plan to reach the hotel by car, please call them up to tell them that you are coming by car, since the hotel is located in the restricted area where u get photographed as u enter the old city center meant only for residents. The hotel will register your number plate with the authorities so that they dont fine you for entering the area.

On my sixth trip to Florence I decided to stay for 5 nights near the Piazza Santa Croce, which is one of my favorite squares in Florence. Upon arriving I was informed that they were fully booked (a couple had missed their flight, so had to prolong their stay). The hotel put me in a nearby apartment, with a view on the Duomo, having breakfast at the hotel. So no complaints obviously! The last 2 nights I spent in the hotel.
The hotel is located on the edge of the old city center, about a 10 minute walk from the Duomo and other major attractions.
I really enjoyed my stay: the staff was very friendly, the breakfast very good (certainly for Italians standards!), and the room was clean and large enough. Minor detail: room could use a better reading light.
If you look for a welcoming hotel for your stay in this beautiful city, I can really recommend this hotel. And another tip for free (don't tell anyone): avoid the crowds, go in february. It might be cold, but you have the city to yourself. It's magical. No lines at the Uffizi, alone (!) in the Pazzi chapel, alone in the Brancacci chapel!

We only popped in for a map and because of the very friendly, English speaking couple that owned the hotel, we stayed. Room was large albeit a strange layout of several rooms including a kitchen. Great location, and for 25 euros a valet parking facility was available, which is a godsend in the windy streets. Negatives were that the room was tired looking and the headboard needed replacing as it was a bit grubby and the bathroom was very small.
