Great location, great staff. Cheap.
A balcony with a good view right into the "Piazza" where you can see the day-to-day living of ordinary Italians.
Within walking distance of all major places to be seen.
Supermarket across the street :)

We stayed at the Hotel Bodoni, May, 5, 6, 7, 2012, My husband and I and granddaughter.
It was wonderful. We loved it. Quiet, comfortable. Great breakfasts, very nice people. My first night ever in Europe. Would go back there again anytime.

Room Tip: Our room was for 3 people and it was just fine. I don't know how many rooms the have for 3, but this was a nice room for a great price. Great location!

This hotel is very good value for money. Nice breafast with a nice selection of food and drinks. Perfect location, you can get everywhere on foot. Nice stuff. Unfortunately, our room was very narrow, beds run down, windows couldn't close. The worst part , however, was this horrible noise at night. Our room had windows on the street side and this street has regular market of used or old things. They start preparing the stands at 4 a.m.and before this hour there is a regular street noise, too. And one more thing, the showers. Water running on the floor, so next person having a shower has to stand in water. To sum up, I can recommend this hotel for its value for money, good breakfast and clean rooms. For more demanding tourists it may be a problem. I also hope they would change this small, claustrophobic lift for a bigger one. Fingers crossed :)

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room not from the street side! The noise at night is horrible! And it repeats every night!

We stayed for 9 nights and you could not ask for a better hotel for location service or price. The breakfast is very good and the staff are very good and help you in so many ways as to restaurant selection and sights in florence and everything to help you injoy the experiance of florence. It has some very nice charm with old door locks and shower in the washrooms, but every thing is very clean and well cared for. The breakfast is a contental but very fresh fruit and meat and cheese the fresh orange juice is great . You get all this for a price under $100 per night which made it one of the best hotel I have every visted based on quality and price in Europe. So enjoy

Room Tip: rooms on top two floors have a great view and are quiet we sleeped with window open and shutter down at night.

My friends could not even believe that we paid less than $100 for a hotel in Florence with a very good breakfast, a/c and even free wifi but his had it all. The staff was always extremely nice and helpful. The location was excellent and I could see Santa Croce right out my window and even Palazzo Vecchio by looking out to the right. The neighborhood was interesting and busy but not touristy or noisy. After 2 nights here, we joined a tour and moved to a 4 star hotel way out to the northern area and even though the price was double, I much prefered the Bodoni and would go back there any time I went to Florence.
