The Hotel Alba Palace was a perfect choice for our stay in Florence. We arrived by train but were picking up our Avis rental car for a visit to Tuscany and the Alba was a short walk to both. We had a standard room on the third floor facing the street. Closing the windows kept out all street noise, giving us a very good sleep every night and the interior of the hotel was equally quiet. The breakfast room was bright with plenty of seating for hotel guests and the choices for breakfast were typical for Italy. The breads were fresh, the yogurt yummy and the cappuccino made on request. What's not to like!! I appreciated the cheerful greetings by the staff at the reception desk when returning each time to the hotel. Those greetings were a welcome sound after the noise of Florence.
