Hotel Paris is in a great location. Easy walk from the train station and directly up the road from the Duomo (which I could see to the left when I stuck my head out the window). We had two rooms (one double and a triple for three teenagers to share). Our double room was very spacious but the furniture was old and hadn't been cleaned inside so we couldn't use the drawers. What was amazaing was the triple room (Rm 452) which was very large for a European hotel and had TWO bathrooms (unheard of!!). Compared to other hotels this one was not all expensive and I thought was quite good value for money. We walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence.

We didn't have a bad meal in Florence either. If you turn right out of the hotel and then next street on the right, follow that road up and you will be met by a number of quality restaurants that you will be more than happy to dine in.

We must have been near the hospital as we were awoken quite a bit by passing sirens racing up our very narrow street.

Room Tip: The triple room we had (452) had two bathrooms

This place is old and tired....
The showers were so tiny you hit your elbows.
Breakfast room, my coffee came out of a machine, come on.... They can do better then this!
The bedspreads were from the 60's and looked tired and dirty.
One redeeming quality.. I had an amazing dinner right across the street, can't remember the name of the restaurant.. Sorry.
I won't stay here again.

Can walk easily from train station and all major points within shopping district and historical sights. Each room different as hotel is old, but well kept. Breakfast adequate but basic, no eggs. Would stay here again.

Great location within walking distance to everything in Florence. Very nice and clean. The pillows are pretty thin... ask for extra pillows.

The breakfast was lacking but overall value was very good. I'd definitely stay here again.

It was everything I had hoped for . . . and more. We most appreciated the English-speaking hotel employees who went out of their way to remember our names and quickly accomodate all requests. For example,

They couldn't have liked our NZ accents as we had a real grotto room
No clean glasses daily, bathroom dark and dingy and unclean
Brick wall right outside our window couldn't see daylight
Air con wouldn't work properly and noisy
Breakfast ok, continental.
Only good thing was location, very central to everything
