A great hotel in terms of location and cleanliness. Staff efficient but not overly friendly. Room lovely, compact and a little noisy (the street below was a hive of activity a little too early for a holiday maker). Was fooled by the website that contained a picture of a feature that appeared to be a pool. This was a private pool - so my goggles remained unpacked.

I stayed here with a friend in early May. The hotel had been recently renovated to a very high standard. When we arrived we were told that because we had booked via our travel agent we had been upgraded to a suite. The only downside to this was that the hotel had us booked in as a married couple, not two ladies travelling together and the room had one huge double bed.
No problem as the second room had a sofa bed which the staff quickly made up for use. There were two bathing areas, a large walk-in shower, and in another area a whirlpool bath, loo and bidet. The towels were changed twice a day (naughty but nice), and each day a weather forecast was left in the room for the following day. A coffee espresso machine and also kettle and tea/coffee supplies were provided. Everything was of the highest standard and the staff were charming and very efficient. We only ate dinner in the hotel on one evening, the meal was delicious.
Plenty of choice was offered at breakfast which is self-service apart from supplies of coffee or tea. All the popular tourist destinations were within walking distance from this lovely hotel. Good restaurants are within easy reach, can highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our suite was stunning, lots of space and beautifully appointed.

We just returned from our trip to Italy and stayed at the Hotel Brunelleschi for our time in Florence. Absolutely beautiful, immaculate. Right near Duomo and near major shopping areas. Highly recommended. Only negative was the 18 euros charge for daily wifi. Close to the Firenze S.M.N. main train station as well.

Go to the Duomo, now go a block south through a tiny alley to a GREAT little (and very recently renovated) hotel. Prices are what they are, and you cannot beat this location. Rooms are not big but they are quite nice. The hotel itself is great and borderline great v. American boutiques (it has a REAL GYM). Right around the corner from everything, including the best gelato place in Florence, you'd have to show me a very compelling price to make me want to stay somewhere else next time.

Bonus: staff is great and tipped us off to a few local gems (not concierge magnets). Also walking distance from train station, which is always helpful.

We arrived by train and walked to the hotel with our luggage in about 10-15 minutes. (We took a taxi back to the train station for $13E on the day of departure due to rain)

This hotel was PERFECT for location. We were 5 to 10 minutes walk to anywhere we wanted to be. The staff were very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. I asked for a street view and paid more for the accommodation as a result. We could see the Duomo and Bell Tower from our room. However, the downside was the noise at all hours of the night. Florence is a very busy city with street cleaning and rubbish pickups nightly. We were woken every night by the same bad singing from late night revelers so I'd recommend a room away from the main streets.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and while we didn't use the restaurant or exercise facilities, they were well used by other guests. I wouldn't hesitate to use this facility again on a subsequent trip.

Room Tip: Request a room in the back of the hotel to avoid direct access to main streets.

Highlight-the great location of this property. Very friendly reception, solid advice for restaurant away from the tourists jammed options.

Room impeccably clean, great space, high ceilings and modern design touches. Overall a 8 out 10

Thank you to Samir and Stefano at front desk-great assets to the hotel group.

We recently stayed for 4 nights as part of our 17th wedding anniversary week in Italy.
We splashed out on a Deluxe Double on the 4th floor room 418 to be exact.
We were shown another room opposite that was a wee bit bigger with a sitting area they call a Delux Double Suite but for the extra money & a view of the Piazza Republica!!
We gave it a miss as our room was perfect but its nice to look.
We arrived via a taxi from the train station as it was our 1st time in Firenze & didn't fancy wandering the streets looking for a hotel with bags etc. It was a good decision as it only cost 15 euros & that included a tip ( a bargin ).
The staff were excellent throughout our stay as you would expect in a top hotel in Europe.
The room was perfect with a nice large rain shower & a view of the Duomo from the bathroom window.
Being on the 4th floor kept most of the street noise down to a minimum. You have to expect some being in the centre of a busy tourist city. The location of the hotel was great, right in the centre of town only a short walk to all the major sites & galleries.
I don't know why some people complain about the choice at breakfast but I though it was excellent if you ignored the cooked stuff.
Your in Italy on holiday get a cappacino from a nice waiter & get stuck in.
I had the prosciutto & melon every morning with some nice mini pastries with my coffee. perfecto.
We would highly recommend this hotel for a molto romantico stay in Firenze. Ciao Bella
