We were very lucky and grateful that we were able to access 3 rooms at this hotel for our group in late June, after our booked rental apartment was made unavailable the day we arrived in Florence, by it's unprofessional owner.
We found this location very handy for strolling into the heart of Florence, and also to access the train station.
I would describe the rooms as fairly basic - some bathrooms are extremely small, especially the showers, as described by other reviewers ....we also found our fridge didnt work, the bathroom
exhaust ineffective or broken - and at times the drains smelt ( we actually stayed in two different rooms over our few days - this was the case in both bathrooms)
The air conditioning in one of the rooms was very poor - however it was good in some others.
Wi Fi best noted as intermittent - and it seemed to require the hotel log in code every 10 minutes.
I thought the service generally from staff was helpful but not overly accommodating....they seemed very rushed at the reception desk and there always seemed to be a queue of guests requiring attention.
We were a little perplexed to find when we asked at the reception for a room to extend our stay, and be told that no rooms were available - yet, Tripadvisor to the rescue, and we booked a room online 15 mins later.....More
