We came by train from Venice and the Rivoli was a short walk from the station. Easy to get to all the sights in Florence and easy enough to navigate the streets once you get used to them. The room was very nice and definitely 4 star, but I especially liked the sitting areas outside for breakfast and after a long day waliking.

Booked a four night stay at Rivoli for September 2012 and was not disappointed.

The hotel is so central to all the main Florence attractions it was perfect - but it was also on a fairly quiet street and we heard no noise at all (room was out the back.....).

Service was fantastic - warm welcome, very friendly staff, extremely helpful reception.

Good selection for breakfast, plenty of it and good coffee.

Room was spacious with a reasonably priced mini bar - no tea or coffee for the room though, not that I think we would have had any if it was there!

Great base for exploring Florence and Tuscany.

O and the train (and bus) station is definitely no more than three minutes walk away, even with luggage!

The first thing we loved at this hotel was the wonderful lobby with the small fountain and small antiques, and when we got to our rooms we found out they're connected which was cool. The room was really big and really clean with an lcd tv a mini fridge and a roomy bathroom which was really clean. The hotel's restaurant was amazing it has really great food for either dinner or breakfast . And the hotel also has a hot tub which is a little unusual since its a little big.I highly recommend this hotel

Stayed 2 night here on our honeymoon tour of Italy.

Easy to find, great location as 5 mins walk from train station and 10 mins walk to the main square.
Check in was quick and friendly and happy to answer my barrage of questions! Bell boy took up the luggage which is always appreciated!

Room was lovely. Great view overlooking little pool and courtyard. Room was clean and roomy.Only thing that would have been nice was tea and coffee making facilities. lovely big balcony

Breakfast was nice in a cute little restaurant. Small hot selection and lots of bread, meats and pastries. Friendly staff as well! Also got 10 percent off the restaurant there but never used it!
They had good room service and a lovely barman making us cocktails! lots of places to sit in the evenings inside and out. The outdoor spa pool was a very welcoming touch. Free towels and bath robes!

overall a very pleasant stay in a lovely hotel with unique features!

I really loved the hotel. Very nice old style design. Lilies everywhere. Complimentary fruits in lobby. In-room small cosy details like books and pictures make you feel like at home. The location is very convenient- 8 min from the Republica Piazza. The room is very clean. The restaurant is very good. Food is excellent. Waiters are highly attentive. If you want something what is not in menu - just describe to the waiter and they will cook it for you. I never heard "no". Whatever I have asked- they replied "Yes, segnora!" :) In one word - i would stay there forever. Thank you for the great hospitality. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there next time.

This was our favorite city and a good hotel, clean, well located with great staff. We had a nice room with a fairly large balcony, it was very comfortable. Thank you to Francesca and Alex for being so helpful and pleasant everyday! Definitely check out the restaurant around the corner "13 Gobbi" 25 days in Italy and by far the best food and service!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a balcony

The staff was very pleasant and always helpful...made recommendations besides Florence to visit Pisa and the beach which I did and this was a great experience.! Ermelinda at the front desk helped with every detail willingly and with a smile. Great value for what you receive!

Located in the old town of Florence, the Rivoli Boutique Hotel offers class hospitality with charm, as well as spacious and elegantly decorated hotel rooms and suites. The Rivoli Boutique Hotel is a 4-star superior hotel that is set inside a restored 14th-century Franciscan convent, where guests can breath the charming and unique atmosphere of this ancient historic building in the city of Florence. The restoration has highlighted the architectural details dating back to 1500 such as arches and vaults, coffered ceilings and stone columns. Guests are welcomed in an enchanting setting full of cozy atmosphere, embellished by refined common areas, which are conceived as an oasis of tranquility away from the hectic pace of the city. The Internal Patio, which was obtained from a complete renovation of the Franciscan cloister, is now dedicated to relaxation and wellbeing, featuring an unforgettable 20 sqm-whirlpool that is also open during the winter with a constant water temperature of 36° C. The location could not be better, a few steps from the Santa Maria Novella railway station, the Duomo Cathedral, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, opposite the ancient and famous Officina Profumo di Santa Maria Novella, and the most important museums. In addition to the interior elegant and spacious patio, the Rivoli Boutique Hotel guests can enjoy the quiteness of the small "garden of medlar", an exceptional lounge where to spend moments of real relax; in summer time the garden is available for breakfast and dinners prepared and served by Benedicta Restaurant , 3 Michelin forks. ... more   less
