“It's the best you can get from a 4 stars hotel”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We just checked out from a 3 nights stay in this hotel in Florence. This hotel is definitely different from any other hotels you can get in Florence. The building itself looks very different from all the ancient buildings around, but it's not too modern that look awkward. I like how it looks very much. The whole hotel looks very hip.

We arrived the hotel at 11:30am, the room was ready for us already. The reception staffs were very friendly and professional. Apart from just checking us in, they offered a brief introduction of the city to us, which is very impressive.

The room is quite small actually. There is only one corner in the room that I can open my suitcase completely. But the room is very new, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom is very spacious and beautiful. The bed is using Simmons mattress. I am really surprised a 4 stars hotel will offer Simmons. A good night sleep is always the most important thing when we travel.

This hotel is located a bit away from the main attraction points, but it's still under walking distance (about 15-20mins to everywhere). It is just 100m away from the main river. It's highly recommended to have an early morning jog along the beautiful Florence river.

The breakfast is very good as well.

There are lots of overpriced and very old so called 4 stars hotels in Florence. If you like a boutique hotel with good bed, and if you don't mind to be a bit away from the main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Florence.

Room Tip: It's better to pay a little bit more to get a room with a view. Our room was facing a wall of th...

We stayed only for one evening so i didn't have time to check out all aspects. it has a charming modern design of common areas and well appointed spacey rooms. Convenient location to enter/leave the city from the north when traveling with a car. Nice breakfast. A bit pricey though

If only the bed had been slightly softer than a slab of granite this hotel would have been wonderful. The staff are among the most helpful anywhere and the rooms extremely good value at the rate which we obtained (Eur93)

We booked online and turned out to be a great stay.
'Executive' room (in the 2nd floor, I believe it was room 212) was very comfortable. Excellent sommier and pillows. Everything was very clean.
The staff at the reception, was very helpful.
Also breakfast, is very complete: including hams and cheeses, eggs in different styles and bacon, fruits, yogurts, juices, breads, etc. Coffee is prepared by the personnel according to your order.
To be improved: Wi-fi connection is free only in the lobby (... you need to renew your password, every 30 minutes). Anyhow, the lobby has very comfortable sofas, with plenty of seating, and books or magazines to read. A must: the chair massager, which is a great relaxation after a strenuous day, walking around Florence.
Not so good: this hotel is a bit far from the center. Although the walk is pleasant along the Arno River, ... it takes about 15 or 20 minutes to get to Ponte Vecchio.
If I go back to Florence, I would like to stay again.

Most floors renovated - so make sure to ask them for a rennovated room. Good Location. Nice Looking Hotel inside. Close to everything. Good Computer room. Great Breakfast Buffet. Will stay there again.

Room Tip: ask for a rennovated room. They were in the process.

Great location- Walking distance to the center of Florence for shopping and restaurants. This was the best hotel we stayed at in a 10 day Globus tour we were just on, so not sure what we paid as far as value, but it was the nicest we stayed at compared to Rome, Venice and Milan. Rooms are new, clean and up to date. The lobby was clean and roomy. Nice bar with enough area for people to relax. Very friendly staff. Nice people they make you feel appreciated. Wonderful place would recommend to anyone to stay.

Only negative was bathroom is a bit tight. The door going into the bathroom comes inches away from the sink.

Our room was nicely redone and clean and comfortable. In addition, one evening we dined there was we were too tired to travel out. We had a great meal and excellent service in the small dining area adjacent to the bar. At first glance it was so small we doubted the meal would be much more than average but we were wrong.l The bartender did an excellent job of serving us and the food was quite good. A nice surprise after a very busy day touring the art and history of Florence! Definitely recommend it.
