“Fine if you go with the flow”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

Buses are on time and staff is friendly, but commentary doesn't work on some buses and/or on some seats. All buses I rode were dirty, but then again, you mostly concentrate on the sights, not the bus. I wish they'd say more about which highlights and places can be accessed from each stop. If you are going to Fiesole it can take up to one hour, so clue up on which bus/ route to take.

“Nobody hops off”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012

I thought this might be a good way to get to Fiesole and take in sights along the route. The driving was 'spirited' (beware of overhanging trees) and the commentary sparce. At Fiesole hardly anyone 'hopped off'. When I returned to the stop having stayed a few hours, it was hard to get back on a bus because they were full. If they would drive a little slower and more smoothly there are some great views on the way to Fiesole once the bus gets out of the suburbs. I got out at Michangelo Square on the way back (great point for photographs) and walked the rest of the way back into the centre which was very pleasant and much more enjoyable than the jerky bus ride.

“Nothing exceptional”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

Very good if you don't have time to go around the city by walk. Headphones were working as opposed to another company in Rome. The sights All walking distance and concentrated in the center. But the bus goes around it , so you will still walk anyway. :)
I liked the fact that it had 2completely different route. It's going also to fiesola which is on a hill out of Florence. Also you can use public transport but didnt try. What I didn't like though is the frequency , every 1 hr. every half an hour would be more appealing. The bus stops only 2 minutes on the viewpoint . It would have been good if it gave a chance for people to come down take few pictures, and then hop on again. .

“The best way to see the outskirts of Florence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

We took the 48 hr ticket for 22 euro p.p. and we really made good use of it.We first went down at Piazzale Michelangelo and from there we visited the church of San Miniato al Monte then we walked downhill and boarded the bus again after 3 stops. We practically visited all the churches on the outskirts and we made the round after dark to do Florence by night! On the second day we did the Fiesole route and it was really lovely. We went around Fiesole by making good use of a map and we walked and walked uphill which took us around 2-3 hours. We boarded the bus again, and did all the round. We went down and walked and boarded again after 3-4 stops. After sunset we did all the round again to see the route by night. We enjoyed it.

“Good for orientation not great for knowledge.”

A ideal way to get an idea of the layout of Florence but the commentary was lacking in real information. Similar tours in other cities offered far more detailed information.
