Basic room but spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed during the recent heatwave and the AC worked very well. I've read a few negative reviews, but what do you want for such a cheap price? With it also being slap bang in the middle of Firenze. A good hotel with an excellent location.

The location of this hotel iS GREAT! Very close to the Duomo , piazza Della republica, Santa Maria novella and the train station .its on a main road which is busy and well-lit, so you do nott feel anxious even if you return very late at night. There are several large shops end a gelateria just outside the door.
All the staff we met were very obliging and helpful - Desar, Elton and Armando and the others whos names I didn''t get to know.
The room we stayed in was clean but small and the bathroom is very small, so may be difficult for two big-built people! The washbasin was in an alcove in the room. But the room is adequate, especially if you are just looking for a bed for the night . There is no lift , but the staff helped with the luggage. Continental breakfast is served.
Overall, a very good experience . Do not stay here if you can't climb the stairs or if you wasn't a big lounge to sit in of if you want absolute quiet. Do stay if you want to spend most of your time outside because most if the places of interest are within easy walking distance. This trip was partly for business and partly for tourism , and the hotel was a five-to-seven minute walk from the conference centre .

The only silver lining of this hotel was its front service staff - Armando! Except this, every thing in this hotel is lousy. The hotel is conveniently located at walking distance close to the main train station as well as the Duomo. However, the rooms in the hotel is completely basic and dirty. The hotel has a convenient way of explaining every possible gale - including faulty toilet door which would not lock!!! 'This is a 2 star hotel and we don't provide xyzz facilities/ services'.

All in all, I would not recommend this inn (yes, that's what I would categorize this hotel) to anyone except if you are on shoe string budget. The pricing might seems like a 3 star hotel, although this one is not better than a run down inn.

Good clean budget hotel with. Very friendly staff, no lifts though. 5 minutes from Duomo.10 minutes walk from train station. 5 minutes from San Lorenzo area. Above shops on a busy street, very noisy outside at night. Breakfast was ok, cold buffet.15 minutes easy walk to Piazza Vecchia and the Arno.

I stayed one night at Romagna and it was terrible. What strikes you at the first glance is the narrowness of everything. Narrow reception, narrow hall, narrow staircase, an old, shabby interior, no elevator, practically no room service. The room I stayed in was unclean. Bedding was ok, but the shower badly needed renovation. I was told the room was on the second floor but actually, it turned out to be on the fourth or the fifth. The stairs were steep, almost perpendicular. You could break the head off climbing up or going down and dragging baggage with you. I also sensed a light smell as if of something rotten, perhaps it was wall moisture (or was it stuffed air?). The receptionist was polite and courteous, but that did not make up for the depressive and gloomy atmosphere of the hotel. Don't let yourself be deceived by the low fares. Pay a bit more, get a better hotel. Keep away from this one!
