“Stunning”

The centro storico is not bigger than you can get the highlights in one day. All historic Buildings are in a short walking distance. So you can see alot in one day. But if you want to go Deep into the history you need at least a week.

“Great to wander through”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

I'm addicted to pedestrianised Italian historic town centres! I could wander around Florence all day. There are plenty of cafes, ice cream shops (watch out for those that press upon you a 6 Euro ice cream when you want a 2 Euro one) and pizza takeaways. The latter are my favourite and I would recommend the one on Via dei Neri. The shops are interesting too - certainly not all tourist shops. Shame the pedestrianisation doesn't exclude all vehicles though - occasionally it can be dangerous. Amazingly there are public toilets - in Italy!

“great views of river”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

I walked through here a few times, but I didn't even realize this was an attraction until I just clicked on the link to see if this was a place I went. The bridge and the views of the river are excellent. We didn't go into any of the shops at this stretch however.

Great place to take pictures and oversee the streets of Florence. Close to the Uffizi and locate street vendors. Near ponte vecchio
