“Waste of time”

Sorry .. but I expected some information about Dante and his work. The museum uses its rare space for a short historic overview about the city. But Dante and his work is rarely mentioned.
All together a waste of time as the exhibitions are pretty bad prepared.

“Hell, yeah, pardon the pun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

With no disable access, and for 6 euros a person, you're in for a page of Florentian history, connected to the famous chemist, herbalist and writer- Dante.
I'll save you the spoilers, but the connection of each of the greater Florentian families to the Divine Comedy actually makes the reading much clearer. Good for teenagers, might be boring for kids.

“A "divine" experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

Pardon the pun, but, it is a whole new experience as compared with other exhibits and exhibitions. The sheer power of the images moves you like no other. Once you are done, you must not forget to drop into the Chapel next door, where Dante's wife is buried.

“Give this a miss”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

unless you want to experience an 'attraction' devoid of creativity or any attempt to catch the attention of the visitor, let alone inform or educate. I wanted to do something new in Florence, this was on my list. I also thought it would be a place to learn about Dante and his life and times. I left frustrated and disappointed having wasted my time and €4. Don't be tempted.

“If you run out of things to do”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

First of all, it was not really Dante's house, since he never lived there. It is in the vicinity where he apparently lived and in the area of the church where he supposedly first spied the "love of his life" - Beatrice. Second, there is just a hodge podge of "stuff" with no real theme and the labelling is very poor. I cannot really say I would recommend spending my euros here.
