“Awesome town square”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

This open-air museum is amazing. We passed through this area many times throughout our stay on the way to different excursions. We also stopped here a few times at night, which was neat, because everything was lit up. It was beautiful.

“One of the world's great public spaces”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

Yes, it's packed with people in July and August, and merely crowded the rest of the time. But this is one of the great public spaces in the world, with its towers and sculptures (Perseus, David, Rape of the Sabines_ Try to go at night when the statues and towers are lit. Some of the crowd will be gone and you can almost imagine what it must have looked like five hundred years ago. Unforgettable

“Fabulous medieval square”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Lovely open space surrounded by wonderful medieval architecture and the faux Michealangelo! A great place to have a relaxing drink, while the time away and people watch, although it is much dearer to eat and drink here. Step back a street or two and the prices come right down and the quality goes up!

“Take note, rape of the sabine statue is covered”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Best place for free sculpture viewing in Florence. Just outside the Uffizi and in front of Palazzo Vecchio. We were there in end March and the Rape of the Sabine Women statue was covered up for restoration. Perseus and the others are still uncovered for all to enjoy. Definitely a great place to take in part of what Florence has to offer.

any Piazza you visit in any town in Tuscany is beautiful. It was wonderful to see locals out enjoying the day, shopping or having Gellato
