Seeing Duomo for the first time live... It was one of the most unforgettable moments. No picture or movie can express this overload of beauty and amount of details and size of it. It is a heart of Florence. Must be seen at least once in life!
Just jaw dropping but can get very busy though but the buildings are just amazing and the views from the top soo good.
453 steps to get to the top of the Duomo but totally worth it. A stunning view of Florence and surrounding countryside you can't get anywhere else. No lift or elevator so you have to walk it. Also best to make a reservatio. 8:30 am is the earliest you can get and I recommend it. It's much cooler and you will break a sweat walking to the top.
Amazing views of the Duomo from many angles. Place full of visitors even at night - come early if want to enjoy view in peace!
...and expensive! no place to sit, except for a few outside tables at the 2 restaurants in the area...
