Don't miss Santa Croce church while you are in Florence. It is a holy place, and it is full of Renaissance art. You will see 14th century paintings by Giotto, sculptures by Donatello, and memorials over the graves of Michelangelo, Galileo, Dante Alighieri, Machiavelli, and Rossini just to name a few. You can even see the statute that is the influence for the statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. There is an entrance fee of about 5 eruo, but it is worth it. You can stay inside as long as you like, and I recommend and audio tour to fully see and appreciate all the beautiful art. We didn't have the audio tour, and we were able to see everything, but the experience would have been richer if we had had it.

This beautiful sanctuary holds the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and many other important people. The perfectly harmonious Pazzi Chapel is lovely and the small museum is good. I loved it here!

This church is most probably famous because it has the tombs of some of the most famous italians such as Michelangelo, Galilei and Dante.

All the churches/cathedrals are amazing. What drew us were the tombs of noted Florentines like Michaelangelo and Galileo. The cloister was beautiful and peaceful. Very interesting museum and some photos of the 66 flood with restoration efforts. We could see this church from our hotel room and heard the bells everyday. Lovely

Great stop on touring the city of Florence. Gift yourself at least 45 minutes to truly enjoy the surroundings and the beauty of old-world Churches.
