“Idyllic River View Junior Suite”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

We stayed in an Arno-view junior suite at Hotel Lungarno for four nights in July 2012. This is a charming property with an incredible staff. In the weeks leading up to our visit, I e-mailed the concierge and the staff happily made dinner reservations for us and arranged for a driver to take us to Rome at the end of our stay at Lungarno. Once we arrived, they had lovely fruit and sparkling water waiting for us. The suite was spacious and the view was beautiful. We didn't really have a terrace, but a small space to go outside to take pictures. The location is ideal for exploring all the sights on either side of the Arno. The whole feel of the property is quaint and of a different age. The desk staff gave us a letter to take to Museo Ferragamo for free admission (the hotel is owned by the Ferragamo family). I would heartily recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I recommend spending the extra $$$ for a river view room.

spent a great night at suite room! just above the arno drinking a good bottle of wine with a friend.

the breakfast is a must, i will be back only for the yogurt they serve (bio and extremely tasty!!!)
service is impeccable and everybody speaks english and they have a sense of positive hospitality doing their job.

the receptionist are nice and always provide a great smile!

the only"not convenient part" is the parking garage..they don't have their own and i had to park my car in parking garage just next the hotel with a surprise: 35 euro from 3 am to 9 am.... not bad!! but at the end of the day the hotel is in historical heart of florence and the spaces are very very limited.

absolutely it is worth a visit!

Room Tip: do not park in the garage nearby!

We can't say enough about this wonderful boutique hotel! The location was perfect, with the lobby area overlooking the river and the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel staff took care of dinner reservations, accommodated a late check out and made us feel right at home. The breakfast, which was included with the room fee, was a lovely buffet. We will be back - can't imagine that there's a better place to stay in Florence.

Room Tip: The rooms with "double beds" seemed to have larger bathrooms than the one we had with a ki...

Our experience couldn't have been better. Not only is the Hotel Lungarno a lovely property and very comfortably designed, but the people are what make it extraordinary. We received beautiful service throughout our whole visit, but the icing on the cake came when one of our party lost a cellphone. They went above and beyond and, lo and behold, were able to track it down through a taxi company. Breakfast in the sunny dining room is inviting and varied. The location, right on the Arno and next to the Ponte Vecchio is ideal. You're one step removed from the chaos of the city, but still right in the heart of all the activity. Will definitely return.

Excellent front desk and attractive decor.good breakfast. Bar and lounge service was the weak spot of the hotel. Help in bar was poor to awful on three occasions.

Fantastic location, just minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and a short walk from the Uffizi Gallery.

I arrived at Hotel Lungarno, having broken my foot the previous night on the Amalfi Coast at San Pietro. The staff were great in recommending me a local hospital, and setting me up in a cab so I could go and get X-Rays.

Over the course of our 3-night stay they went out of the way to help us with taxis, restaurant recommendations & reservations, and even tracking down a plastic cast-boot.
