We were staying near the restaurant and after a search on TripAdvisor of good restaurants in the area we headed there. It had been a horrible day with rental car problems that took the entire day so we were looking forward to a good meal and some wine in hopes that our bad moods would change. They did as soon as we walked in. The place is small, but warm and inviting, and the host, who we assumed was the owner, was smiling and very accommodating. The pasta with wild boar sauce was unbelievable, as was the beef braised in red wine with crispy polenta. I had never had truffles before and since we were in truffle country I got the veal with truffles, which made me realize that I don't like truffles. The veal was good though. The wine and tiramisu were fabulous also. Everything was fresh and made with love. The owner was personable and attentive and was eager to answer any questions regarding the menu and specials. Make a reservation to be on the safe side as we tried to return another night, but could not get in. They have a reputation around Florence as being one of the best restaurants and it's true!
