Great location between the duomo and Uffizi gallery. Our room was adequate and we had a large bathroom just down the hall. We were a little apprehensive about the detached bathroom, but it wasn’t bad because it was quite large so there was room to shower, change and get ready in which is not typical of small Italian hotels. There was an equipped kitchen which was nice to store snacks and drinks. There is no onsite parking, but there is a garage about a block or so away. Note-The hotel is in LTZ area so you WILL get a fine if you drive to it. However if you park in the garage near there, they register your car so you will not get the ticket. The reception wasn’t onsite when we arrived so we had to wait a while so be sure to coordinate your arrival prior to arriving.

The only problem was we booked the hotel via booking.com and the description indicated there was A/C and a TV which we found was wrong when we arrived since the building does not have A/C and apparently the TV was broken (but I didn’t see a place for one so not sure). The hotel said it was a booking.com mistake so we called booking.com and they said the hotel entered the wrong information as they do not control what they write. It took several phone calls and emails, but in the end, Il Gattopardo changed their description on booking.com and have us a 20% refund for the inconvenience.

Room Tip: Our room faced the street which was a bit loud since we had to keep the windows open do to the lack...

“Il Gattopardo” is excellent. Is the perfect location to accommodate in Florence (3-5 min walk from historical center and besides in a very quiet backstreet leading you at Dante’s house). Very, very!! clean, comfortable and with nice decoration. I had the feeling that I was at my home. The owner as well as the staff were very polite and for sure very helpful in order to facilitate and make pleasant my stay in the city. I shall definitely choose it for my next stay in Florence!!

Great location, staff and owner very helpful. Our room differed from what we had booked via booking.com and was a lot more basic. The Bed was about a foot of the floor and was very squeeky. There was no a/c just a fan.
The wifi didnt work in our room only in the common room.
The Shower was quite good. The owner greeted us on arrival and was very informative on things to do and supplied us with a map which was very helpful.

My husband and I recently stayed 2 nights at this lovely B&B during our stay in Florence. The location is perfect; close to everything and is within walking distance to all major attractions. The only downside as many reviews has said is that it is noisy at night because there are just so many tourists or Italians that don't go to sleep until the wee hours of the morning. But, this is not the B&B's fault, but rather an issue that seemed to be prevalent in all of center Florence.

The owner was very nice and gave recommendations on what to see, where to eat during our short stay. She doesn't live there but was there to let us in, and very responsive with any questions we had. She also let us leave the luggage inside after we checked out which helped a lot!

We had a double room with a private outside bathroom. Everything was very clean, and the living area was very nice.

Our wifi only worked in the living room area but that wasn't too big of an issue and it allows you to meet other people staying in the B&B. All in all we would recommend to a friend.

The B&B is so perfectly located right in the heart of Florence. The rooms and bathrooms and clean and the service of the staff is fantastic. Alkmini was incredibly helpful with suggestions on places to try local delicacies and things to do/see especially since we were both returning to Florence for a second time. The location of this B&B is absolutely cannot beat however as other people have mentioned and we were fully aware, there is a 24-hour convenience store right below the apartment which attracts night-owls and can get quite loud at times. Nothing a couple of ear plugs can't tune out however! The only thing that bothered us a bit was the situation with the breakfast..you are given tokens for a coffee and a croissant from a cafe round the corner which are delicious however the opening hours are not ideal particularly if you are heading out on a day tour which begins in the morning as the cafe doesn't open until about 930am...other than that I would definitely stay here again (and make sure I had my ear plugs)

Pluses: good location, clean rooms, decent bathroom and shower.
Minuses: not a real "B&B." You help yourself to whatever is in the kitchen and that's the breakfast. Kind of a joke. WiFi is basically nonexistent. Only accessible in the common room, and only one or two people can be logged on at the same time. Otherwise the system crashes. Manager Alkmini gave us restaurant recommendations which were subpar (overpriced food, poor quality). Beware the kiosk next door is a 24-hr hang out for locals who sit and drink and talk all night on the door stoop. Noise level could get bad at times especially at night.
