Owner description: Love Duets’ Concert: you do not have to be a lover of Italian Opera to enjoy this wonderful evening. It’s set in a small church from 1800’s. You have a piano, soprano & tenor performing Opera’s love song and Italian love songs. The setting and performance is overwhelmingly powerful. You’ll be moved to tears by the emotions. Not to be missed.

“Magic evening”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

When you travel a lot you are looking for something new, for some special experience.
This is exactly something new. Performance in such an unusual atmosphere in Church, wonderful acoustics, singers which are close to you, showman with brilliant sense of humor… It is definitely worth of visit.

“Good old pot boilers”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Lovely programme of arias of all kinds. We saw a good soprano who was sadly accompanied by a heavy handed pianist. Despite the impression given in the publicity it is a short concert.
If you are walking there it is a bit difficult to find the church if you don't know where you are going.- top tip: ask a local.

“Amazing experience!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

We decided to do this after seeing it on tripadvisor's list of the best things to do in Florence and we weren't disappointed. Neither of us had been to the opera before, but this really is the perfect introduction. Friendly, relaxed and informal, in a beautiful venue, it was a really fabulous evening. We saw Carmen and loved it. A small cast of 5 singers in costume, a few props to set the scene, and a great narrator who started each act with an explanation in English. I like listening to opera, but thought going to see it at a big venue might be a bit highbrow and posh for my liking! This was just perfect for us, a wonderful and memorable evening, time and money very well spent.

“10 out of 10!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We got tickets to the Love Duets concert at St Marks only a couple of hours before the performance but it turned out to be a great decision. We were actually quite shocked that the church wasn't a sell out given the standard of the performance. There were 5 performers with the show lasting about 90 minutes. The pianist was also the host and provided many laughs along the way.
Wherever you sit in the church you will literally be only a few rows from the performers, it is quite an intimate experience.
We also had a nice glass of prosecco in the interval and thanked the performers at the door on the way out! An experience we would highly recommend - 10 out of 10!

“St Mark's Angilican Opera”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Simply fabulous! Do not miss. We booked a tour that included an authentic Italian dinner and this opera performance. It was fabulous! The piano player/MC was so talented and had a great sense of humor and the opera singers were wonderful. We truly enjoyed this performance and would love to see it again one day!
