This old hotel has charm and history. All the rooms offer modern amenities with old world charm. Very close to the duomo, uffizi, and all major sites. One problem is the homeless gypsies sleep in the street outside the hotel. Customer service is very good and breakfast was ample and good tasting. A few housekeeping issues such as not enough towels and no extra toilet paper, also my shower didn't work properly and I asked for it to be fixed but it never was. A good value for the location. Definataly eat at the OK bar just down the street. A great wide selection on the menu and fair prices.

This hotel is in a great location with an easy walk to the center of Florence, near the Academia Museum and many wonderful restaurants. Our room had a view of the Duomo's dome. We had a nice suite with 2 rooms and 1 and a half baths for a good value. It was exceptionally hot the 4 days we were in Florence. The air-conditioning in this large hotel is unable to accommodate such high temperatures. It was barely working the first day and got a little better during our stay but never really cooled the rooms properly. There was a bad odor because of this. The shower in the bathroom leaked badly so part of the floor was covered in water after one person showered. We probably just got a bad room as the public areas of the hotel were well kept and the staff was helpful when we reported these problems.

The location was wonderful - having the Duomo literally at the end of the street provided a very helpful landmark for always finding our way back home! We arrived early, well before normal check-in time & were told we'd be able to check in in 30 minutes. When we did so, we were taken out into the piazza and around the corner to a different building on Via dei Fibbiai which has another 6 rooms which are also part of Loggiato dei Serviti. This was a bit unexpected, but really not a problem. The bedspreads were still quite damp, but given that they'd rushed to let us check in early, we really didn't mind - it was nice to know they'd been washed! Our room was charming - very large & airy, with high decorative ceilings & lovely furnishings (although the mattresses are very firm). Be warned - there's no such thing as a quiet trip to the loo in the middle of the night - the parquetry floors really crunch underfoot, and the plumbing is noisy. All part of the charm. The bathroom is possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen - with great water pressure & plenty of hot water! Breakfast is simple & ample, and all the staff are friendly & helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time at Hotel Loggiato and it was perfect! We loved the location--close to city center but without all the noise of a busy piazza. The hotel itself is beautiful--very well cared for with such an Italian feel to it. We were in room 30 and had an AMAZING view out one window (see photo). The staff was great and very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Yes, it was simple but so are most European breakfasts. The only small trouble we had was trying to figure out how to turn the shower on. Be sure to ask the front desk when you check in--I tried all different methods our first night with no success. I finally tried pulling this long string that was hanging next to shower head. NOT a good idea--it's an emergency signal to the front desk!! Thankfully, they called and asked if there truly was an emergency before sending an emergency team to our room. :) Lesson learned--leave the string alone! I posted lots of photos from our trip on TripAdvisor as I know I find them so valuable when planning my trips. Hope you find them helpful!

We enjoyed the family suite. It was a fun experience and felt like we were back in time, but with modern conveniences. The staff was very helpful, made reservations for us, helped us with maps etc.
The breakfast was very filling and tasty. We are not used to Italian coffee and they remembered after only being asked once and made our coffee perfect from then on :)
I loved being in the square, it was quiet yet very close to everything.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The staff were really friendly and helpful - more than willing to book restaurants and provide tourist info. It was centrally located, free WiFi in the rooms and bedrooms were clean and beautifully decorated with air con. The only slight downside was a very small wet room instead of a shower - not ideal for my pregnant wife!

This hotel is located in a beautiful and historic piazza, and is extremely close to all of the sites of Florence. Our room was beautiful and we had a remarkable view of the Dome and San Lorenzo. A wonderful breakfast is included with the room as well. The only issue is that the room key is decorative, so its large and heavy. Which means that you leave it at the front desk when you leave and have to pick it back up when you get back. This can be lengthy, around five minutes, since they are usually dealing with other guests. Its a little annoying, but overall I would highly recommend the hotel.

Dear Guests,

Thank you very much for taking your time and sending your review and thanks again for your choice. We are glad you enjoyed the place and the city. As for the key, a little patience is necessary when the hotel is busy and other guests are asking for information, directions... we try to do our best to help everyone. You can imagine that taking the key out may expose to lose it or not being able to know who's having access to the room. That is something we want to avoid, for your security as well.
We hope to welcoming you again,
Best Regards

Rodolfo Budini Gattai
