Location though was not exactly inside the old town but within walking distance (like 15 mins slow walk) but more quiet part and facing the river. It's quite a beautiful property with history.
I have been in contact with the concierge a few months ago inquiring about restaurants nearby and they (esp Mr Marco) promptly, patiently and courteously respond to and made the reservation for us (since it was during Christmas period).
Check in was quick. It is truly a 5 star service. The receptionist after checking you in will personally show you the rooms.
The shower pressure was adequate and all the necessary toiletries (except toothbrush) was provided and refilled everyday. Bottled water was also complimentary EXCEPT for room internet. They have free butler service (who will bring you free coffee or water and 1 or 2 piece ironing and etc but being a tourist who spends much time outside, we barely use the service and would have preferred free internet. One can get free wifi only in the lobby. The business center was also complimentary to the guests.
We booked premium deluxe room which was quite big and comfortable for 3 or even 4 persons. Beds were comfortable. The design was more classical. Strangely we were only given one set of keys which one can leave at the concierge who I assumed can remembered all the guests who stayed in which room as there is no verification whatsoever when we got back to get our key to the room. I wondered if someone just walk in and tell them the room number and will the concierge will recognize the intruder. Anyway, no such thing happened during our stay.
Breakfast has wide variety of choice. They have an egg/omelette station and etc.
Overall, the service was great and formal (more for aristocrat or socialite). Will definitely recommend to people who loves great service and pampering.
