The Helvetia&Bristol re-opened their doors this past April so all is new or refurbished -such as their charming elevator cabs. Both guest rooms and common spaces are elegant and comfortable. (Best interior design move - no carpeting in rooms. So no more standing in a giant petry dish.)
I was traveling solo so I wanted a hotel centrally located and upscale, the Helvetia&Bristol perfectly fit the bill. I was impressed by the genuinely warm, accommodating professionals, such as Carlo at the front desk. Carlo helped me secure three private tours which were limited to 12 people and in which you bypassed all the lines and he worked with me on making hip, upbeat dinner reservations.. Every hotel representative I encountered was gracious and sincerely wanted to help. The General Manager, Frederick Versari, knew I was traveling solo so made it a point to ask how my day was? Was I being taken care of... Really made me feel relaxed and safe.
Historic, elegant and sophisticated , centrally located,
absolutely no attitude by anyone associated with the property. I discovered this was Florence - warm friendly, accommodating.
Don’t skip the Helvetia&Bristol.
I stayed in a single Classic. The design made it all.More
