“Under renovation.”
Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

We bought our Duomo ticket here, for 10€ you can do all the square attractions. We climbed the Duomo and did the Baptistry which felt like enough for our money so visiting the museum was an added bonus.

Not a lot to see due to renovations but the gold door is worth seeing alone. Nice, modern space which will most likely be lovely when works are completed.

“A hidden gem. If you care about Ghiberti's baptistry doors (and you really should), don't miss it!”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Ghiberti's baptistry doors ALONE are worth the entrance fee! Looking at the intricacy and the care he took in creating depth and architectural elements in the doors' design is astoundingly awesome. Plus it's fun to read about each panel and recognize familiar biblical stories depicted in each one. The Michelangelo is also cool, especially when you know that he modeled Nicodemus' face after his own.

“Undergoing renovation”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We couldn't see everything because of the renovations (and so the ticket was discounted). Still, for the "unfinished" Pieta and the restored original Baptistery doors, it was well worth it. Also, the lines here are not too bad, so it's a good place to purchase your combo-ticket.

“Go if you have the Firenze Card”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

As noted by others. This is under renovation so only a few worthwhile things to see. But they are worthwhile and its right by the Duomo so if you have card pop over. It is not crowded and they have great restrooms and AC which is nice break after being in so many non AC spaces.
