“Go if you have the Firenze Card”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

As noted by others. This is under renovation so only a few worthwhile things to see. But they are worthwhile and its right by the Duomo so if you have card pop over. It is not crowded and they have great restrooms and AC which is nice break after being in so many non AC spaces.

“Under renovation - may reconsider going if you don't have Firenze card”
Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Unfortunately/fortunately this museum is under major renovation. We had the Firenze card and therefore did not incur any extra cost to visit. Although I personally think the cost to enter is worth it, some may not agree. The baptistery doors are phenomenal and the Pieta statue is awe-inspiring. Not much else to see here though, catch a free viewing of a replica door on the Duomo and skip the museum entry fee.

“Under renovation. Only Gates of Paradise and Pieta on display”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

The title says it all. I looked forward to seeing things like Donatello's Mary Magdalene and the other doors of the baptistry. However, the museum is being rebuilt (which I am completely fine with), Only the Gates of Paradise (INCREDIBLE) and Michealangelo's Pieta (The one with 4 people) are on display.

“Probably better when it's all open to the public.”
Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

Sadly most of the museum was closed today. I am not sure if ticket prices are reduced as we got a combined pass. The highlights are Michealangelo's 'Peter' and the doors to the baptistery. Both well worth seeing but there was only one further room open, which was disappointing.
