“Fantastic Dining Experience in Firenze”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

My wife and I reluctantly booked a table here on our last night in Florence and it turned out to be one of the most wonderful meals we had in Italy on our holiday. Great food and a fun, local atmosphere. The service was top notch, the food very Tuscan and the ambiance simply unique. It was like dining at home with a large family gathering. We were treated like one of the family and simply had a great meal and a memorable evening. The owner and staff really seemed to enjoy interacting with the patrons and its just a great place to spend an evening.

“Good food and great fun night”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I booked this restaurant based on the reviews that had been posted on Trip Advisor. It was my Son's 21st birthday and we wanted somewhere with atmosphere and we weren't disappointed. The food and service was just great. The staff were brilliant and we had a fantastic night which ended in us exchanging email addresses with some of the other diners! It all ended with wigs and limoncello!

“Very Local and Fun...”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

If you are looking to be treated like a local and have a good time this is the place for you. The food was good and they definitely have their opinions on how foods should be served. For instance, they will only serve their Steak Florentine rare, and do not even think of ordering a cappuccino after dinner :) But all in all they are a fun group of people located off the beaten tourist path and definitely an enjoyable time.

“So good!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

After reading the reviews my friend and I came on our first night in Florence. We were lucky to be the only ones seated without a reservation while we were there. The ambience was upbeat and they were playing loud music and having fun with each other and the customers.

We ordered everything to share and had the papadelle pasta with duck -which was such a nice change from all the tomato based sauces we'd been eating. The pasta was silky and the sauce had a nice hint of black pepper. Then we split the filet with pesto sauce! The filet was delicious and we both agreed one of the best steaks we'd ever had. The pesto was a bit off though-made with arugula instead of basil and was quite bitter. We finished with the panna cotta and creme caramel-both homemade and amazing. The only thing keeping this restaurant from getting a 5 was the dry bread, the house wine (fairly acidic) and the pesto, but would absolutely recommend!
