“Great Food & Fun Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We visited this place based of TA reviews...glad we did. The food was outstanding (Lasagna & the thick spaghetti w/ rabbit). We lucked out and went during 2 different b-day parties, the place turned into a drinking fest. My wife and I had a blast. This place has true character! It was so great we went back 2 nights later and had the 3-lb. steak Florentine...unbelievable. We will definitely return one day.

“Not central but worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013 via mobile

It was a fair trek from our rented apartment in the middle to this place in a very quiet part of town but definitely worth it. Friendly staff serving the best steak (we've had) in town in a vibrant restaurant full of characters both young and old. If you want a traditional trattoria stay in the tourist restaurants centrally but this was cranking a mix of Italian classics with locals (and staff!) singing and American classics as well.
Don't know what's going on with previous reviews but we're 31, there were a couple of tables of 20-25 year olds and the entire front of the restaurant were tables of 50+year olds rocking out. We had a great time. Love the staff wearing random wigs to sing happy birthday to a young lady.

“Mediocre...and needing a reality check!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

My boyfriend and I were so excited to come to Trattoria da Tito after reading all of these wonderful reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was less than mediocre and I regret having to pay the 50 euro price tag for an average at best meal.. There are definitely better and more affordable places in Florence to dine at!! The first red flag at the restaurant was the service. Every waiter was uninterested in helping us and they even seemed to 'forget' about us at one point. When we finally flagged someone down that worked there they seemed to roll their eyes at us. Even though we are college aged kids studying abroad, we still deserve to be treated as guests and given the same experience that other people have written about. I consider myself a 'foodie' and am looking to have the best experience possible!! The second negative aspect of the restaurant was the antipasto plate that we ordered. It was completely salamis that were extremely greasy and unidentifiable. The plate also came with a bowl of olive oil that was filled with garlic....not in the description and not appetizing. We had a fillet with pesto which was average, and a chocolate cake for dessert dessert was also average- it resembled the mini brownies that Costco sells! My advice for anyone that goes to Titos in the future.. do not get the house wine!! Even though it is very affordable, it is extremely acidic and not very good. A few dollars more will definitely get you a better bottle. Overall, my opinion is that Titos probably was once great, but due to so many enthusiastic reviews they have become pompous and overconfident leading them to treat people that seem unimportant as dirt and start to lack on their food. The vibe that my college-age boyfriend and I got was a bit snobby and arrogant, as if the restaurant knew that they were great and definitely was not going to waste their efforts on two tourists studying abroad. If you really want to have a wonderful dining experience you should go to Aqua Al 2.

“Most fun night in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

If you're looking for a quiet, romantic dinner in Florence, don't come here. But if you're looking for a good time as well as good food, then this is the place for you. We went here on our last night in Florence with our two twenty-ish kids, and we had a great time from beginning to end. We loved the music, which ranged from 70s funk to current hip-hop, and everything we ordered--particularly the bistecca Fiorentina. The owner and his staff were having at least as much fun as the customers. We liked the whole experience so much that we didn't even mind when the owner, after we had finished our meal, had us come up to the front counter for shots of limoncello so he could turn over our table to one of the many groups waiting at the door.

“Amazing Restaurant in Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We had originally turned up to Titos on the Friday as it was local to our hotel. However, the manager told us they were full for the night, but was extremely sorry. The restaurant seemed extremely busy with people ringing constantly, and in our five minute wait, the manager taking the phone off the hook to give us his full undivided attention. We rebooked for the following day and returned. Food was excellent. Started with Spinach and Buffala Cheese to start, followed by the delicious Florentine Steak, which was mouth-watering. Service was excellent, and as long as you are not offended by some background 80s music you will simply love this restaurant. To finish off, the creme brûlée desert was divine. The bill was preceded by not one but two shots of limoncello, as well as a shot of grappa! Excellent service and highly recommended.
