The perfect place to refill energy...amazing Italian snacks...great chanti wine...and the sisters (daughters of the owner) are so beautiful! We won't forget Francesca a really sweet and smily woman. Try the pork and the cheese with honey and truffles.

Great hole-in-the-wall! Very reasonable prices. Limited seating and can be crowded. But when the locals are willing to put up with crowds and tourist that says all you need to know about the paninis and food. Definitely try the pecorino and honey panini and the bulgar wheat salad if they've made it that day.

I had found this place on tripadvisor and Facebook. Walked past it once looking for it, definitely glad we found it. The ribolitta, bread soup, is worth the visit! Very cute and cozy inside. We also tried a pesto pasta with zucchini. Delicious lunch. So glad we made our way there

Stopped by here for an afternoon lunch. I am a huge fan of the different types of soup you can find in Florence and was delighted to find that they had "Pasta e Fagioli" soup (1 medium sized plate, 6 euro). The atmosphere is friendly and the food is served by the cooks with smiling faces. There is an upstairs eating area where you can eat slightly away from the busy streets of the center. The soup was hot and delicious, with wonderful flavors swirling about. Beans were blended (not whole) and pasta was perfectly cooked. With such a depth of flavor (and such a steal!) the soup at Il Cernacchino really showed off the paradise that is Tuscan cooking.
