“Excellent food and choice - great prices!”
Reviewed October 26, 2012 via mobile

Having stumbled into the restaurant due to the rain we weren't too sure what to expect but a friendly and comedic waiter brought over some English menus and showed us to a table.

Some bread and oils were brought over whilst we waited for our meals and it was so fresh and tasty.

The meals themselves were served fresh and timely and full of flavours. Amongst our group we had a selection of pasta dishes and salads and every plate was clean afterwards.

We were so impressed with our starters and mains we order desserts. For four people 2 starters, 4 mains and 2 desserts with a alcoholic drink each it came to €77. Very reasonable indeed.

Highly recommended.

“Treat yourself to the pizza making class”
Reviewed July 16, 2012 via mobile

We booked this class back in April, and we finally reached the happy day on a cool Friday morning. We were met by Sonia, the friendly and efficient manager. She greeted us warmly, offered us water, and started our class with a short, interesting history of pizza including an explanation on how we would be making Neopolitan-style (no oil).
We then moved into the small pizza kitchen where we were joined by Raphael, the young energetic and expressive pizza maker from Napoli. He's been making pizzas for 11 years, and is only 20 years old.
We started by mixing the next day's dough. After mixing and a short rest on the table, we measured out the dough by weight and wete taught how to roll it into perfectly round balls.
Then we got down to learning some pizza making secrets. We rolled out the dough. Learned how to form a perfect circle, then were given free reign to create with the toppings of mushrooms, salami, veg, and the ever present fresh mozzarella. Our creations were perfect, and coked within 2 minutes in the 700 plus degree oven.
Our thanks to Sonia, leader, restaurant manager, translator, and pizza guide, and to the 20 year old pizza genius Raphael for a memorable time and great food.

“Definitely be back”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

We came here on the advice of another recommendation on tripadvisor who had written on the restaurant zaza which we had a very good meal at. This was as recommended very very good! We had bruschetta to start which was very tasty followed by their homemade neopolitan pizza and pasta with Tuscan beans. We also had soufflé for pudding with buffalo icecream which we had to wait 15 min for but it was definitely worth the wait. We also had 1/2 litre of nice sparkling house white wine and 2 beers. Bill came to 41 euros so we will definitely be back to try something else!
It is worth noting that at the moment there is road works happening out the front which I would imagine push people to go to zaza which is across the street. Ignore the bars and go in! It will be worth it!!!!

Dear superjem, we thank you for your kind review, and for having ignored the bars in front of our doors!!! The soufflè is prepared at the moment we get the order, that's why you have to wait until it's cooked before tasting it, and we are very glad that you appreciated it.
Hope to see you soon in Rossopomodoro Firenze, regards.

“Great little pizzeria”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

Really nice little restaurant- would recommend.
Homemade bread, served in lovely little paper bags; great starters- the bresaola portion was huge!- fantastic pizza and good quality wine.
The service was quick and friendly, with waiters who speak enough English but appreciate your attempts at Italian!
