We had the most wonderful afternoon with Luca and Max. They are both so knowledgeable and friendly - Luca had us laughing the whole time. The location of the farmhouse overlooks the most gorgeous rolling hills. We felt like we were in the middle of a movie shoot - it is that perfect!
We picked our own ingredients in the garden and then got to work. Our pizza and gelato were delicious. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!!! I would highly recommend adding this to your itinerary when you are in Florence - you will be so happy that you took this class :-)

Well worth the money and time. Tour guides filled our knowledge of the history and customs of the region. My co-co-worker and I were in awe of all we saw and did in one day. We highly recommend this tour!

We weren’t sure what to expect when we arrived at the property but it quickly turned fun. We picked ingredients for the toppings.

The gelato class with Angela was fun and delicious! She walked us through the process and let us experiment.

The pizza making class with Luca and Luigi was a lot of fun. Their comedic timing as a duo was fun and the pizzas were delicious.

Also, the view of Florence from the hills was amazing.

Whenever we get back we are doing it again.

This was the first tour in Italy my partner and I went on, and it was well worth it - a fantastic introduction to Tuscany in all its glory. Keep in mind this isn't a tour of Florence rather a tour of the some of the regional areas of Tuscany.

First we visited the town Siena which I fell in love with and wish I could of stayed for longer. We then visited a winery and ate lunch and drank some of the local Chianti wine - they have a gift shop which you can purchase said wine - make sure you bring a back pack or something to carry it in, I regret that we only bought two small bottles because right now I am craving some of that Chianti!! We weren't sure how much we could carry back to our country at the time so do your research and stock up on as much as you can!

Anyway, moving on from the wine... we then visited San Gimignano, an amazing town of towers, you feel like you are in another world..one that holds the award for Gelato World Champion! Your tour guide will tell you that there are "fake" gelato shops in the town that claim they are also award winning so make sure you go to the one pictured below in my photos. Their award winning flavour is saffron - I know strange, but it is delish so give it a try, but try another flavour or five..just in case.

We finished off the tour by visiting the all famous town of Pisa, which apart from the Pisa tower itself..is overrated, they have a Maccas (McDonald's for all you non-Australians) and it is crowded by gypsys trying to sell you junkie crap. Pick-pocketing alert - be on your guard.

It is a long day but worthwhile, have a snooze on the bus on the way back to Florence. You will want some quiet time after listening to your informative tour guides fill your brain with historical and interesting facts.
