It's a long day but well worth it. All the best attractions in Tuscany in one day. Wine tasting in the hills of San Gimignano, walking the cobblestone streets of historic Sienna, ending off at sunset with the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Well worth the time, money, everything. Elisa, our tour guide, was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, very patient dealing with a large group of tourists constantly holding up the group :). She never made you feel like you were being rushed, and she had a schedule to be on; she had a tough job and appeared to be loving every minute of it. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this tour was.

Lots of walking, up hills, down hills - wear very comfortable shoes and clothes. Bring snacks in your bag because it's a long day (but no eating on the bus - they mean it).

Highly, highly recommend this tour! You will not regret it.

Thank Lillian B

We booked the Tuscany in one day tour through Viatour before we left home for about £60. I'm sure it would probably be cheaper to book direct but you'd have to check!
The tour left Florence at 8.30am and didn't arrive back until 8.30pm so you really do get a full day. First stop was Sienna where a local guide took us around and into the cathedral (entry included in tour price) we then had some free time for a wander around.
Straight from Sienna we headed towards San Gimingano through the Chianti region and stopped at a lovely organic farm where we were treated to a delicious lunch and, the best bit... wine tasting! We tried four wines from their organic winery all of which were delicious! They were available to buy but that was only mentioned once and then dropped so no pressure to buy but with delicious Chianti for €5 a bottle it would have been a shame not to treat yourself to at least one bottle!!
From here we went to San Gimingano which you may not have heard about but for me was one of the highlights of the trip! A beautiful medieval town set high on the hills of Tuscany with amazing views, buildings and ice cream! Dondoli has won the world ice cream championships for many times and the ice cream is to die for!
Pisa was the final stop on our tour and if I'm honest was a bit of an anti climax! The rest of the day had been so lovely that Pisa had a lot to live up to and it fell short! Maybe because we were all tired by this point we all had the classic 'holding up the tower' picture taken and then sat around in the cafés waiting to go home!
All in all a fantastic trip, well worth doing and good value for money! Our tour guide Elisa was brilliant! Great knowledge together with perfect English made her the ideal guide! She was really friendly and was happy to answer lots of questions! A brilliant day and best of all I have a couple of bottles if lively Chianti to enjoy when I get home!!

We hesitated to book a 'tour' , but were very pleased with our experience. It was a wonderful way to visit these places on a limited schedule. Agata, our guide, added so much to the experience, with all of her historical and cultural facts. We will recommend this tour to friends and family.

I initially took this tour 3 years ago and wanted to do it again as the organic farm is amazing and I wished I would have shipped wine home last time. It was even better this time as they added some enhancements like the headset/speakers so you could hear the guide, but could walk around at the same time.

Elisa, our tour guide was so sweet and funny and made the trip enjoyable.

It would be great if they had an option that skipped Pisa and allowed more time at the farm, or if there was a option for just the farm and San Gimignano.

Well organized and fun tour!

The day tour to "Best of Tuscany" tour was the best way to see the highlights of the area in just one day.

The lunch at the organic Chianti winery was as good as any restaurant in Florence, and the wine flowed freely!

The guide, Olivia, was terrific -- she made sure we had just the right amount of information, was so friendly, and was pleased to answer all our questions. Such a nice touch to walk through the bus as we were coming back to Florence and ask EVERY passenger individually if they enjoyed the tour or had any questions.
