“A Memorable Day in Tuscany”
Reviewed February 25, 2014

We spent two weeks in Italy in four cities or regions by train, one being Florence. If you have only one day to tour and get a taste of Tuscany, this is a very good choice. Scenery was beautiful, weather ideal, bus comfortable, lunch at the Agriturismo (farm) delicious, and Olivia was a gracious, patient, and knowledgeable guide. It was an entertaining, informative and enjoyable experience in one day.

“Super! One-day Tuscany tour.”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

What a wonderful day in Sienna, San Gimignano, and Pisa. Beatriz was a superb guide, very personal, and helped us with many questions and advice. I was wary of seeing so much in one day in buses but my expectations were greatly exceeded. The information, the comfort, the pace, the care were all excellent. New buses with lots of room and sight-seeing windows, an excellent driver in some nutty traffic, and a wonderful, yes very wonderful lunch catering to my wife's gluten-free needs on a Tuscan, self-producing farm with meats, cheeses, salads, wines, desserts. This was very well done and worth the expense.

“If you need to see Tuscany and beyond in 1 day- this is for you!”

Great way to see the countryside - the winery stop is a highlight. Olivia was a doll and made the day fantastic. I can't believe how well she handles a huge crowd and stays so organized. Do it!

“One tour to take? Take this one”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We were in Europe for seven weeks, and in that time, we raged at all the tour groups constantly getting in our way, crowding around everything we wanted to see following the tour guide like little ducklings. We grew to despise tours, which meant that leading up to the Walkabout tour we were quite hesitant and skeptical. We could not have enjoyed the Walkabout tour with Olivia more. While you do travel in a big clump for a portion of the trip, very soon after arriving in a place, you are set loose to do your own thing and explore at will. Olivia as well was a brilliant tour guide, easy to understand and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Not only do you get just enough information and group sightseeing to make the tour itself feel worthwhile (and obviously being ferried around to each place is invaluable) but the lunch itself was absolutely amazing. The portion sizes are "small" for what you may be used to, but with three courses and seconds on the appetizer and dessert food was not an issue.
As for the wine tasting, it would be more aptly named a wine drinking. Each group of six was given three bottles of wine and not every group drank all the wine. The number of half drunk bottles left on the table was heartbreaking, unfortunately, you cant take them all with you, or drink them all or you would then nap through the beautiful cities of Tuscany. As the title says, if you are taking one tour, make sure it's this one.
