“A wonderful day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

The Best of Tuscany tour was fabulous. Our tour guide Agata was pleasant, caring, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. You get amazing value for the cost. Our guide in Siena was great. The vineyard lunch under the bright blue Tuscan sky was memorable. San Gimingano was lovely especially eating award winning gelato while enjoying the spectacular views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The visit to Pisa rounded off a perfect day. Thanks Walkabout!

“Unforgettable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

If you are going to Florence for a few days and can allocate a whole day to walking the Cique Terre, do it. My wife and I went on the Walkabout tour of the Cinque Terre which left Florence on a coach in front of the SNM train station. Easy to find and a tour guide will be holding a sign to help you find the right bus. The guides on this trip are full on interesting facts all in English so you will be entertained on the bus ride and throughout the trek. Once you get off the bus and start the trek, you will be amazed. It was sunny and raining when we went which made it all the more special somehow. You walk through lots of small towns with names like 'Riomaggiorie' and 'Vernattza'. It is not a difficult path and there are only a few parts that need some effort. The views of the Mediteranian Sea are stunning, as are the towns themsevles. The food is great, Gelatti and seafood is recommended. The tour provides lunch at a balcony restaurant which is a sample of the local food, excellent quality. The trek goes a full day but most of it is not spent walking but rather looking through the small towns along the way. We are 27 and 25 but i recommend this for any age, maybe not small children.

“Best of Tuscany Tour Truly is the BEST!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

My husband and I booked this trip at the recommendation of another traveler, and we were certainly glad we did! Unlike most large group tours, we did not feel rushed through the sites. There was plenty of time to explore on your own in Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa. Lunch at the vineyard was absolutely spectacular - be sure to save room in your luggage for the bottles of wine and olive oil you are sure to purchase there! Our guide, Becky, was fabulous. Funny and engaging, she made this long day an absolute joy. This tour is a must do if you are traveling to Florence!

“Best bits of Toscana!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

Wanting to travel out to Pisa and explore small Tuscan cities, this tour was perfect choice for me. With lovely lunch and wine-tasting to relax with in the middle of the day, I really enjoyed the pace of this tour as well as the lovely scenery of Toscana. The local guide at Siena, Camilla is a charming Siennese who will teach you everything you need to know about Siena. Although time spent at San Gimignano seemed a tad long for such a small town, everything else was perfect. Highly recommend if you want to venture outside Florence for a day!

“Great day well worth it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

I think this is the first ever organised tour we have been on but having read the reviews we decided to take the plunge ! not disappointed as we have had a truly memorable day , lots seen, probably a little rushed as only criticism but included many sights that would have gone unseen. Unlike below we weren't expecting a wine tour , but a Tuscan lunch sampling some of the farms wines which is exactly what we received. Plenty of food and wine, more offered , tasty dishes. Our guide MARK! ( Sandra ) was so knowledgeable, friendly and paid great attention to detail.
Feel relaxed and happily tired from a full and exceptionally interesting day . Many thanks !
