“Fantastic must see must do- definately book it in”
Reviewed July 21, 2011

i have just gotton back from the tour and it was fantastic!!!!! I booked through walkaboutpass.com. they had fantastic guides, all speaking english, which made a huge difference. There were 3 guides on our tour so you could ask questions etc. My guide was Marko who was gorgeous as well as being a great guide. Chris and an Australian girl were also fantastic. They made it a really fun and enjoyable day.The scenary is amazing, the lunch and wine was beautiful (encluded in the tour price). >Absolutley worth it. if you are going to go to Cinque terre, or around tuscany on a tour, They leave from and return to Florence in the one day. Book at these guys first before you try the rest. They are great, i have put website below

“If you want a great tour of Tuscany don't miss this”
Reviewed July 21, 2011

reservations@walkaboutpass.com is the company's site and we booked the Best of Tuscany Tour.(for the 2nd time) We were staying in Rome, so we took the early fast train to Florence. The tour leaves at 8:30 am from outside the Santa Maria Novella train station bringing you back at 8:30 pm. Becky was our onbus guide and did an excellent job.(the tours are in english), she was articulate, informative, funny and all around a joy of a guide. The stops were Siena, Chianti, San Gimignano and Pisa. In Siena and San Gimigano we were met by a local gude who gave us local colar. In Chiant we stopped at winery -organic farm where we were served lunch with wine tasting inbetween coarses. One of the highlights of the trip. In Pisa a little train shuttle drove us around a bit and then left us by the Leaning Tower to explore on our own. Go- you wont be didappointed!

“Our best 12 hours out of Florence!”
Reviewed July 21, 2011

We were planning to do Cinque Terre on our own and we met some tourists who suggested we take the walkabout day trip. The best advice we had! The trip was well organized and the guides were very professional and informative. The whole day was well spaced out including a great lunch and the trip gave us a real good flavour of the five villages. I’m not sure we could have efficiently managed this ourselves in the same amount of time. All our guides were good and genuinely forthcoming with tips on things to do and special mention goes to our group guide Sandra.

“Best Tour Ever!”
Reviewed July 21, 2011

My wife and I took this tour two years ago and loved it... So we took it again and had a GREAT time! We loved our first tour guide--Mario--but Becky rocked our world! She was winsome, clever, and incredibly well-informed. All the participants around us raved about how great she was.

The changes in the tour over the last two years have been great:
1) The new farm was a great improvement.
2) The tour through the vineyard was interesting and fun.
3) The new lunch and wine tasting was extraordinary. We liked the fare before, but this was a truly great lunch. (Really)
4) The train ride into the Field of Miracles in Pisa was a great improvement over walking. And our tour of Pisa was great... this is a much better way to approach this tour.

We LOVE Tuscany! Always have... We love it more now.

The star of this tour was still Tuscany in all its sienese splendor. But the best supporting actress was Becky.

This tour is a must-do in Tuscany-Florence!
5) Loved Anna Lisa (sp?).

“Well planned but a bit rushed”
Reviewed July 20, 2011

I must congratulate the organizers for providing us with a carefully planned and well executed tour. Everything went on schedule, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Now some recommendations :

The Pisa trip could be cancelled altogether. It's a long ride there and the only interesting thing to see is the inclined Pisa tower. Going up the tower is impossible as they only allow maximum 30 people to be on the tower at once. The first available ticket is in 2 hours but the tour bus leaves in 30 or 40 minutes. So there is no way to make it.

The lunch could be a little longer. 30 minutes is not enough to savor the wine and enjoy the view. 90 minutes would be more appropriate. The chat at the table is the best opportunity for the travelers to mingle so why not let them have some more time?

With all due respect, I say "skip Pisa and let the lunch take a bit longer".

Finally, the lunch could be had AFTER the visit to San Gimignano. It was not easy to climb to streets of San Gimignano after several glasses of wine and a full stomach.

In conclusion, it was €80 well spent. I am glad I did it. If I had rented a car I wouldn't be able to drink.
