“Favourite hotel of Italian holiday”

We loved everything about this hotel. We arrived early and the room was ready. Room and bathroom were not huge but beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We looked down on the lovely central courtyard and had a spacious balcony (don't think many of the rooms have these so think we were lucky.

The service was excellent from every one of the staff - reception, restaurant, porter, maintenance....all seemed very proud to work in the hotel and to go the extra mile at every opportunity. Usually someone in the staff lets a hotel down but not here - they were all well chosen and had great customer service skills.

The food was excellent and we ate in the hotel for dinner on the four nights of our stay as it was so good. When warm enough, sitting out on the terrace overlooking the river was lovely. My only slight negative comment was that when not nice enough to sit out, the dining room lacked a little bit of character/ atmosphere. The room was lovely so my suggestion would be some dimmed lighting, candles on the table etc.

The pool area and rest of the hotel were all beautifully restored and furnished.

The minibus into Florence was handy and the parking in the hotel car park was useful.

The hotel is not cheap but in my opinion you got what you paid for and I would definitely go back again and will recommend to my friends.

PS we got a discount voucher from the trip advisor site so worth looking out for.

I would like to mention about staff and service in this hotel. The staff is very friendly for tourists, they advise and made special offers. Also I would like to mention special person Mauricio, who we have met there and introduced us with real Toscanian food, told us about this region and vine. Made a special dinner for us with italian music. It was fantastic. We would like to thank and recommend this person to everyone. Also I would like to name his shop ,, la sosta delgrillo'', which is fantastic. Again thank you very much!

Had the pleasure of staying at Mulino for three nights recently in our 20 day holiday in Italy.

I choose this hotel based on TA recommendations. We knew the location wasn't in city centre, but outside a few miles, which is the reason we decided upon this location.

I knew and confirm the shuttle service is sufficient and did not want for an in city location. The breakfast was good, the dinners very good. The pool and view awesome!

What I can state is the service from this hotel was the best in our entire Italy visit which covered 5 cities including much more expensive locations.

I had read about the bartender, it was a pleasure to speak with him. He is an asset to Mulino.

All the breakfast and dinner staff was excellent. I do wish to single out one of the front desk personnel. I wish I knew her name but can only identify by the most pleasant, smiling young lady we had the pleasure of meeting in Italy. Her diamond as well as her infectious smile and willing to help this passing American tourist will never be forgotten.

I believe the management of Mulino hires the right people with the right personality to make foreign guests feel comfortable.

We hope to visit again. I highly recommend this hotel, please say hello to the bartender and my friend at the front desk.

This was an all around great destination. From check-in and service, the rooms and bedding, dining, swimming, bar, breakfast and even jogging/walking trails down the river. From our Italian tour......we would come back here first and for more nights.

If in florence during the high season, i would very highly recommend this hotel; Its almost Tuscany, it has the river, and a fantastic pool. Lots of intimate details and locations and a friendly staff helping you to experience it all. And its away from the crowd.

When not as crowded and not as warm, i would assume the mulino might feel sinply remote.

Shuttle to the city works very well (to my experience). And the restaurant is fine, even if a bit expensive - but then sgain that iz hos these resorts make hheir money, right?

Great for romance. Kidd love the pool. Lots of stairs. Romantic, kiddie-loving stairs.

Just FABULOUS!! We would definately return and maybe have a hire car to enjoy other parts of tuscany. Wonderful service with the free shuttle bus, it would be nice to have one late night return offered as taxi is expensive to people on a budget.
Pool was just heaven and you could enjoy a proper swim too.
Breakfast choice amazing and the best coffee in Italy, I wanted the recipe for the cakes but closely gaurded secret :) Staff always polite and service with a smile and chat when possible.
We had the superior room which met all expectations.
We read a number of reviews and for people who marked it 3 or less we could not see what they meant. A truly 4+ star experience. Thanks xx

We chose this hotel because of its location on the outskirts of Florence, since we were travelling by rental car and didn't want to deal with driving and parking in the city. It has free parking and a free shuttle bus to and from the city tourist area. When we arrived, we had an amazingly difficult time finding the hotel (despite having a GPS); it's hidden away on a one-way loop road that is a single lane with high walls on either side. But don't let this deter you; this hotel is definitely worth the trouble of getting to it. It is a restored old (12 century? I forget) mill on the banks of the Arno river that has been turned into an absolutely luxurious resort with well-appointed rooms, a first-class restaurant, a lovely outdoor pool and very friendly staff. We especially enjoyed talking to our waiter, Aldo, and the maitre d', Franco, both of whom gave us wonderful advice on day trips in the surrounding Chianti region. All in all, we were very pleased with this hotel and would definitely use it again if we ever get back to Florence!

Dear Guest,

we really thank you for the beautiful words spended and we really appreciate that you took the time to write about your stay in the Mulino di Firenze Hotel.

We are happy to read that you, as most of our guests, appreciate the particularity of this hotel...that start from the moment you have to cross the little streets surrounded from big walls (that are the old Villas of the most rich and famous families of Florence) to finally reach the hotel.

We are also happy to hear that our staff is been so professional to you that made your stay very pleasant.

Really hope to have you again as guest in our hotel for a even more amazing experience.
