We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! Everyone at the hotel was very nice and made us feel at home. The location was perfect for exploring Tuscany, and the hotel provided a shuttle service into Florence. We went in September and the weather was perfect. It was still warm enough to use the outdoor pool at the hotel.

We rented a car and the hotel has free garage parking, which made it easy to come and go as we pleased. I will warn you, if you are not comfortable driving in heavy, aggressive traffic and/or do not have a good sense of direction, then driving around Florence is not a good idea. We were fine, but I am used to driving around big cities like Chicago and New York.

Overall, best hotel we stayed in on our honeymoon through Prague, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra and/or request a room with a view of the river. Get dedicated guide to eating in Italy/Florence. It really helps in finding the best restaurants and staying away from the tourist traps.

Only 15-20 mins shuttle service from Florence, this is a hotel that gives the impression of being set in the countryside. The only 'down-side' is lack of information. Only on the last evening did we find that we could use the spa, we had not even realised where it was or that it was available for use as there is no information in your room or in the reception area. The staff are all charming if on frequent occasions nowhere to be seen and we were not the only people to give up a search for bar service inside and outside.

Room Tip: Overlook the river, we had room 6 which gave aspects over 2 directions

Myself & my husband thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay here on 03/10/11 for our honeymoon. The hotel itself is beautiful & the views of the river & surrounding area are so tranquil, just perfect for a relaxing getaway.(Exactly what we needed after a manic & wonderful week & wedding in Rome)
The views from the rooms are superb (we had room 106 which is a gorgeous room with a fabulous jacquzzi bathtub and one of the largest rooms) & breakfast & dinner were wonderful, as was dining out on the terrace overlooking the river.
What made our stay even more pleasureable was the welcoming & helpfulness of the staff, in partcular Aldo who was never too busy to answer our neverending questions !
We cannot comment on the shuttle bus as we never got round to using it, we simply enjoyed the weather, views & tranquility & walked everywhere!
A really beautiful & unsual hotel with a lovely uniqueness in which I would happily reccomend to anyone who is happy not to be in the heart of Florence and I cannot wait to go back there.

Just perfect !
Mrs AntoniaToussaint.

We went in August for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed by our choice! We were first given a room with twin beds, but after asking to change were given the choice within three other bedrooms! The hotel due to its location is very quiet but still very close to Florence if you fancy shopping or visiting the town. It is not Ibiza, so if you are looking for a place to go out every night, this is not the place for you!! It is very isolated and unless you pay for a taxi or have our own car, you can't come back late at night. If you want romantic, quiet and peaceful location, that is definitely the place for you. The food is so gorgeous, we ended up eating there almost all the time! The swimming pool area is beautiful too and you never get to fight for your lounger which is a plus! Majority of the staff is very friendly indeed. There is one lady slightly less friendly, but it is probably just me! There is a free shuttle to go to Florence as mentioned in other review, but it is true there are not enough option for the time! It is free though! All in all, it is a beautiful hotel where you can spend very calm and relaxing holiday away from the noise! We loved it and recommend it to all couples!

Room Tip: Insist on having a room facing the river!

This was more expensive than I'd usually go with, but it was so worth it. The staff are excellent, the location lovely (away from the city) and the hotel beautiful. The restaurant was wonderful with the staff being the best. The shuttle into town is certainly welcome; although the bus stop is less than a 10 min. beautiful walk away. I'd definitly recommend this hotel to anyone.
