Description: Cuculia restaurant proposes contemporary cuisine.gourmet dishes. The Chef Oliver Betancourt and his wife Roberta Del Prete create intriguing recipes inspired by seasonal products, the knowledge of the flavours and the colours of the raw materials. Great attention is dedicated to the periodical creation of the Menu with options for all needs. Eating at Cuculia amounts to going around the world with the advantage of being seated in a small and cozy restaurant in the heart of the Oltrarno in Florence.

What a great dining experience! We came in relatively early because we were still fighting jet lag. No matter, The staff at Cuculia are friendly and attentive. They're happy to explain the dishes, their menu changes monthly as they only use fresh ingredients in season. Vegetarians will be very happy with the choices as was our group of four meat eaters. The spring pea gazpacho was delicious, we shared a chacuterie platter that varied and plentiful. The burrata platter was plenty to share and the best I've ever had. Moderately priced, delicious food - don't miss Cuculia when in Florence!

We have recently bought an apartment in the same street so having read the reviews we booked via Tripadvisor. We are spilt for good restaurants in this part of the Oltrano district but Cuculia is refreshingly different with an imaginative menu which changes regularly. I had the sea bass which was excellent and my wife started with a tomato, mango, avocado and mozzarella salad followed by an excellent vegetable ravioli, all beautifully presented.the owner was welcoming and enthusiastic - she is a true foody!

I recently ate here with my immediate family, and my mouth was bombarded with several different and unique but delectable flavours. Personally, I am not a super adventurous eater so certain things were a bit much but for a seasoned pallet it would be superb. Very friendly and knowledgeable servers aswell as nice scenery within the restaurant. There is an unfortunate lack of air conditioning but this does not take away from the meal. All in all would definitely go again.

Found this place with the help of Tripadvisor. Since we had already eaten something we only ordered a bottle of red whine and a main course.

But we started with a cannapee from the house a gazpachio with bell peper. Very fresh and excellent with 30 degrees weather.

As main course we ordered both the same dish, pork belly glazed in honey. The pork belly was very juicy and the skin was very crunshy.

Service was also very good so we had an wonderful evening.

Really nice meal with attentive staff in a nice restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and the wine was very reasonably priced.
This restaurant is a refreshing change from most of the over priced tourist traps nearer the centre. It values its customers and provides a friendly, convivial atmosphere. Well done La Cuculia! I'll come again.
