What a wonderful place to stay, just 2 mins walk from the train station, and close to all the major attractions. But what really makes this a stand out place to stay is the wonderful staff who go out of their way to help. The room was super large, and newly renovated with quality fittings. The double glazing & security roller shutter mean the room is super quiet, and dark when your trying to sleep.
We thought the welcome basket was a lovely touch, and highly recommend you stay at this wonderful boutique hotel.

We chose La Residenza B&B based on trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. It was so close to the train station, which made it easier travelling with kids. Our room was enormous (for a family of four) and very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. When we arrived we were presented with a basket of fruit and snacks - kids were very happy. Our really helpful host Giulia gave us a map, highlighted all the key sights were and inspired us with some local knowledge... Useful at the local markets and when purchasing leather goods!! We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again!

We stayed here for 3 nights in October. Apartment is close to the train station and main sights in Florence. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable and the welcome basket is a lovely beginning to your stay. The staff are extremely welcoming and cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. You get vouchers for the cafe nearby for a nice breakfast. The free wifi was great. You get a lovely bottle of wine upon leaving, which is another lovely gesture at this great B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definately recommend it to others visiting Florence.

Stayed at La Residenza dell'Orafo for one night last week. The location is fantastic (5 mins walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station), and provides easy access to the main sights in Florence. The rooms were gorgeously decorated and we especially liked the welcome basket of fruit and snacks. We were also impressed by Raffaella's warm welcome when we arrived and her help with recommending us restaurants and booking us tickets for the Uffizi. Would definitely recommend this place to friends going to Florence!

We stayed four nights in September at La Residenza Dell'orafo during a two week trip to Italy.. We arrived on our anniversary and were greeted by the lovely and helpful Greta with a small bottle of prossecco and a tray of assorted goodies. The property is a short walk from the train station and we had no trouble finding it. The Amethyst room was lovely! Unfortunately we didn't use the balcony much due to the noise and the fumes from the bus stop directly below. It can sometimes be quite crowded at the front door of the building due to the bus stop. We only took advantage of the free breakfast at the nearby cafe once...we found the fruit, treats and instant cappuccino in the room was plenty! The staff were all pleasant and helpful, but Greta went above and beyond by helping us avoid a steep fine after we accidentally wandered into a restricted traffic zone when returning our rental car. Apparently there is a 2 hour window to contact the authorities to avoid the 100 euro penalty and she took care of it for us!!! Thank you Greta!!! When we checked out we were given a lovely bottle of Chianti which was such a nice surprise. Thank you!

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for choosing our resort for your holidays and for posting your review.

We are very glad to have your feed back and I am sorry that you had some issue regarding the balcony and the external noisy. When we opened the structure we proceeded immediately to put sound-proof windows to control noise but we are in the heart of the city so we can't control what happens outside of our B&B.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed all our services and our friendly staff.

Warmest regards,

Marta and Staff "Dell' Orafo"

We stayed at this B&B for two nights, and all of us really enjoyed staying here.
1. The location is very convenient; close to the train station.
2. Even the B&B is on a major road, we can't nearly hear the sound of traffic. The acoustic windows they use must be very great!
3. High Wi-Fi speed! Almost the highest among all the hotels we stayed in Italy.
4. Very nice welcome gifts - cookies, a basket of fruits, welcome drink. When we left, the B&B even sent us a bottle of wine!
5. The staff are very warm and friendly. The restaurants the lady recommended are very nice.

Definitely will recommend to friends and will stay here again!

This B&B is located less than a block from the train station entrance so it's a great location. Only a few blocks from all the other major sites in Florence. No need to every get in a vehicle. Once arriving at the place, you need to ring the buzzer to have them let you up. We kept pulling on the door for a while before we figured out you had to push.

This little B&B is located on the second floor (by American standards) of a four story building. There are other small B&Bs located in the same building. The desk is manned during the day, but not at night. The public areas of the B&B are extremely limited - front desk and a couch - that's it. But, they can handle your luggage if you arrive before check-in or want to store your luggage after check-out time.

We had the amber room. It came with a tight bathroom - very small shower. The door was a pocket door, which I liked because it took up less room. The room had a soft lit soothing color scheme. Minimal furnishings - no rugs or carpet. A wardrobe in place of a closet.

They provided a map of Florence and a small platter of fruit, drinks and snacks. Breakfast was a block away at a cafe. It included OJ, a pastry, fruit salad (or something else) and coffee/tea.

I have one complaint about this place and it is not the B&B's fault - there was a lot of moving of furniture or something upstairs that was very noisy. It started early and went on late. I don't know why --- we were there for 4 nights and it happened on multiple occasions. It's funny, we never heard any of the other rooms - coming or going.
