Easily my favorite day of our trip to Italy! Bernardo was fantastic -- he is incredibly knowledgeable about the wine industry but can simplify the important parts for even novices like myself. The drive through the Tuscan countryside was gorgeous, and each vineyard chosen was beautiful and unique. Bernardo answered all our questions not only about wines but also about Italy and his views as a native of Florence. What an unforgettable experience!

This tour was fantastic! Pierre our guide was a great character who's passion for wine making was clear and I particularly loved his fun way of describing the processes of wine making. His knowledge for the Chianti wine region was abundant which made the drive through the region even more enjoyable. At the stop we were given a private tour by Pierre through the wine making areas and then enjoyed cheese tasting, olive oil tasting and of course wine tasting outside on the balcony overlooking the farm. After that we drove to a small town called Panzano and got to taste cold cut meats at Dario Cecchini's shop before taking our seats in the restaurant upstairs where we had a leisurely lunch chatting with the great people on our tour (only 3 other couples) and tasting roast pork, pulled pork, beef carpaccio, roast potatoes, veggies and more great dishes from the region. We headed to another winery in the afternoon called Montecalvi  in the Chianti Classico region. This was a lovely boutique winery run by a husband and wife team. The lady of the house Jacquie gave us a private tour of their wine making process and then we enjoyed tasting her wines around her dining room table. Great intimate experience and plenty of laughs plus an added pleasure of cuddles with Jacquie's puppy Millie. I highly recommend this tour.

P.S Pierre, all the best to you and Rebecca, I hope your 2013 vintage are full of big girls and boys ;)

We met Pierre in the morning at 10am sharp and were happily bundelled in to the very comfy van to start the wine tour. From the beginning Pierre was not only very informative and knowledgable but also extremly entertaining and he made all the guests feel at ease. The first wine tasting with cheese and olive oil was fantastic. It was great to have a tour of the property and actually learn how wine is produced and how to tell what makes a great wine. The crazy Butcher for lunch was very entertaining not to mention delicious! And a great atmosphere. The second wine tasting at the organic winery was also such good quality but alsoreally interesting to see wine making from another perspective.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone and it was well worth the money.
Thanks Tuscan Wine Tours for a great day!!

When in Tuscany, you need to get out and sample the wine and having a knowledgable guide is key. Bernardo literally has degrees in the wine industry and has a "regular job" in the industry as well - he does the tours just for fun. He ave us a ton of information, answered our various questions and helped us select some wine to ship in Greve. In short, he made the tour. (Of course, I may revise this after we get home and drink the wine he suggested)

Other highlights include lunch at the famous butcher's place and going to a vineyard a bit off the beaten path with great wine and time with the owner. You can't go wrong wth this tour.

A wonderful day through the Chianti and Chianti Classico regions of Tuscany. We learned a lot, had wonderful wine, olive oil, and cheese tastings, a fantastic meal, and great company. Pierre was our tour guide and was incredibly knowledgable about everything we could think to ask. A special shout out to Pierre for making a newly pregnant attendant feel welcome and enjoy the day just as much as those drinking the day away!
