I have worked in the airline industry for 34 years. The minute we stepped off the #12 bus to spy our lodging up a short cool lane with a tree-covered hillside directly behind it, we knew we just might have found our dream B&B. The moment our host, Roggero met us at the door and ushered us into the open feeling reception/ dining rooms overlooking Florence and then showed us to our clean, well-decorated, and refreshing bedroom I knew it was going to be a great 3-day stay. The bathroom, beds, linens, breakfast, quiet and comfortable setting allowed my wife, Teri and I to feel very much well cared for. I do not know how anything could have been better presented. As we then met Tiziana we realized Il Palagetto was a labor of love for both of them. We wondered how something this nice, price sensitive and easy could feel so far from the crowds of Florence while being within a pleasant walk or short bus ride across the Arno river to the city center. I'm bookmarking Il Palagetto and sending the link to all our fellow airline employed friends.
