Our stay at Florence could not be better thanks to Claudio and his hospitality. He runs a beautiful and extremely clean B&B where you feel more than at home. The location is fantastic, the cleanliness excelent and the recomendations are very good. It is highly recommended and if we go back to Florence, we will definitely choose La Dimora degli Angeli again.

Room Tip: Follow the owners advise, it is the best.

My wife and I stayed in the Giuditta room for 3 nights. The room was beautiful and so was the view. Clean, modern, comfortable and on the Duomo's doorstep!

Silvia was very helpful with recommendations for where to go and where to eat. She also went the extra effort to find (and translate) bus information for the next leg of our holiday.

Breakfast isn't served at the B&B - you're given vouchers for 2 cafes nearby - 2 pastries, coffee/tea and a juice, There's free fruit, tea and coffee in the communal area.

A few minor things to consider
-We could only access the free wifi in our room when sitting right near the door.
-Police sirens and an occasional yelling drunk outside woke us up, but we did have the window open.

Room Tip: Go direct to the B&B's website. It has photos of all their rooms and lets you select which one you want to stay in.

This B&B is extremely well located, with a view of the Baptistry and the Duomo just beyond from our room and about 2 blocks away. Claudio is a charming host with very helpful information about literally everything. The rooms are very spacious by European standards and the breakfast spots were both very good. While you may awaken to Church bells this is Italy and there is a Church on every corner no matter where you stay. We were originally concerned about street noise since this is the heart of the tourist area but we found it reasonably quiet at night and early morning. We loved out room and our host. You will too!

Stayed 4 nights in November in the Bianca room. Whilst the smallest of all the rooms, it was still extremely comfortable and clean. The kitchen room was well stocked with fruits and coffee 24/7. One night there was an issue with the hot water and Claudio attended straight away to fix the problem. It was this attentive service that made the stay so pleasurable.
Thank you Claudio for the stay- we will be back!

Ever wondered what’s behind those gigantic wooden doors in major cities across Europe? sometimes it’s a courtyard or a garden or a simple entrance to several apartments. Such is La Dimora degli Angeli - Firenze. The doors lead to a cement staircase with a birdcage elevator wedged within. Inside La Dimora degli Angeli - Firenze you’ll be wowed by the decor. Okay, not to everyone’s taste but somehow fitting to Florence and artfully done with real flowers throughout. Best part is the room with a view and when you can take your eyes away from the Dom you’ll have some free entertainment people watching in the square below, including armies of beggars working the marathon spectators. We went for the marathon which maybe explained why Florence seemed to be peppered with beggars. Hard to pry open one’s purse for a whining young woman with a worn out polaroid of a child or a whinging man with a limp when all about you, people are applauding a paraplegic on a specially devised bike ‘running’ a marathon with his arms.

You'll get a coupon for breakfast in the cafe below. It serves fresh pastries, excellent coffee and for those who don't worry about their BMI, fabulous thick melted hot chocolate.

It all would have been perfect if the corner cafe didn’t blast (live?) badly imitated 30, 40+ year old hits every night till after midnight. Down the hall is a small kitchen with the yummiest biscotti ever, an espresso machine, all sorts of teas, and wine glasses with a bottle opener for those of you inclined to BYOB.

Enjoy! Florence is a fabulous city.
