“Excellent find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

This cozy little trattoria, almost across the street from one of Florence's most expensive restaurants, is a terrific alternative, offering delicious food at reasonable prices. My partner got lamb cutlets (scottadito) done on the grill which were thin but very rosy on the interior with a luscious grilled crust, served with a nice little salad of chopped fresh tomato and leafy lettuce. Alas, the contorno of "fried potatoes" were frozen French fries, very mealy and tasteless. I got pasta: fresh spaghetti with a pesto made of arugula (rocket) and toasted pine nuts, quite tasty. For dessert we got the light and refreshing lemon sorbetto which was beautifully garnished. The ambiance is intimate and cozy and the wait staff are quite charming and helpful.

“Steak Florentine worth finding”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013

A little tough to find the place but it was really an enjoyable destination. Staff were very pleasant and happy to deal with us with their limited English. The steak Florentine had a very simple presentation but very nicely cooked. Desserts were Italian style- not fancy but good.

“Amazing pasta”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

We dropped in by chance an hour before we had to leave Florence. Our best meal by far.
Amazing pasta in veal, porcini and creme sauce. The pasta will garlic, olive oil and breadcrumbs was surprisingly good.

Great price.

A good amount of locals.

Look forward to going back!!!

“Well priced meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

Great, expansive menu with focus on seafood and meat. Good service, reasonable English spoken be some staff. Food is well priced, below city centre prices but just blocks from the Duomo.
House wine is nice and very inexpensive. Mackerel and seafood past dish were great, as we're the red onion soup and puréed and seasoned chicken liver pate on toasted bread. Ambiance is nice. Like a good family restaurant.

“Good Set Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

Great set lunch at affordable prices with relaxing ambience. Took a long time to find the restaurant. Chose the Tiramisu for dessert and love it. Good service. Would recommend anyone looking for great food while in Florence.
