This cozy little trattoria, almost across the street from one of Florence's most expensive restaurants, is a terrific alternative, offering delicious food at reasonable prices. My partner got lamb cutlets (scottadito) done on the grill which were thin but very rosy on the interior with a luscious grilled crust, served with a nice little salad of chopped fresh tomato and leafy lettuce. Alas, the contorno of "fried potatoes" were frozen French fries, very mealy and tasteless. I got pasta: fresh spaghetti with a pesto made of arugula (rocket) and toasted pine nuts, quite tasty. For dessert we got the light and refreshing lemon sorbetto which was beautifully garnished. The ambiance is intimate and cozy and the wait staff are quite charming and helpful.
