“Luxury and Style As Well As Comfort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Hotel L'O does everything right: the design marries classic architecture features with modern comfort, the location is quiet oasis within the happening piazza, and the staff is attentive and professional. The breakfast room with view of the Santa Maria Nuovella offers a wide variety of choices in a splendid buffet. Most impressive is the cleanliness everywhere in the hotel. Highly recommended.

This is a quality hotel in the perfect location for touring Florence. Everything is within a short, easy walk, including the main train station. Our room was spacious and clean, including a good-sized bathroom with a rain shower. Our "view" was an alley, but the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Don't get too excited for the advertised chocolates, as apparantly this is only a winter thing? Also, the maid is intent on keeping her routine regardless of your preferrences. Every day she would throw out both the sink and tub soaps and only replace one, and every day she would move the tissues from the loction I preferred.

All together a very nice, albeit expensive stay. The hotel itself is a bit tricky to find because of extremely small signage so keep a look out for the watch design on the doors.

Room Tip: We specifically asked to be placed away from the breakfast room and had no noise issues whatsoever.

Amazing hotel with a great location just a block from the train station and overlooking a large peaceful church square. The breakfast buffet on the fourth floor is quite extensive and the views are amazing. Hotel is very clean and ritzy. Employees were friendly and attentive. You won't be disappointed with this little gem!

Room Tip: Had a room overlooking the streets but the windows are well insulated and somewhat soundproof so we...

This is a top notch hotel in a great location in Florence. Everything including the Duomo is withing walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. It's also walking distance to the train station. It's situated in a quiet but big piazza. The rooms are fairly big and very comfortable and clean. Nice beds and bedding. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They can book museum tickets for you. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's the perfect place to stay in Florence.

Only stayed one night but were very impressed. The staff is so very welcoming and helpful. They are always ready with GREAT advice about a good restaurant for dinner or where to buy bath salts to enjoy the FABULOUS tub in our bathroom! The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are spacious. The internet is fast & the breakfast buffet is GREAT!

Room Tip: Room 204 has an upstairs balcony sitting room! Bring your bath salts to soak away those sore legs af...

This was my first trip to Florence and I loved L'Orologio. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal. 5 min walk from train station, just on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella. 3 min walk to the Duomo and San Lorenzo. 10 min walk to the Uffizi and 8-10 min from Academmia. Just wonderful

The hotel is in a great location at Piazza Santa Maria Novella. It was a bit hard to find, with its subtle signage, but once we did, boy what a classy place. The "clock" theme (from it's name) appears around the hotel and the rooms. The design is stylish and distinct. Our junior suite was amazingly spacious, with our 8 year old having another large room all to himself. The lighting in the room was a bit dark - I liked the mood, but it may not be to everyone's taste. We even had a an attached terrace with a great view (see the pic). From the hotel, most of the attractions are an easy walk away. Even the train station is only 5 minutes away. Breakfast features ample choice and quality of food. L'orologio oozes with all the charm of Florence itself. We stayed 2 nights and now wish we had stayed a few more.
