We loved out dinner at La Burrasca from it's not-so-touristy location (right next to the Mercato Centrale) to the delicious Sangiovese, buttery beefsteak Florentine and genuinely friendly and most helpful waiter. An authentic Tuscan meal with too much food to eat, wine and antipasto for 2 for 60 Euro=a genuine treat. Be sure to have the Toscana antipasti with the chicken liver pâté.

Great place. Excellent service and the food is traditional, home made and delicious. Great value, we went here twice on our 5 days in florence. Come here at 7pm when it opens to get table as it fills up quickly. This place is highly recommended

We were walking around the market and looked up restaurants in this area. This one came up but unluckily it was closed (Mondays). We forgot about it until we asked our hotel for a recommendation and they brought it up again. What a great find! Atmosphere is perfect, restaurant is small and authentic and the food is true Florentine fare. Prices are also ridiculously reasonable. We had Roast rabbit, veal in white wine sauce, white beans in tomato sauce, a caprese salad and shared a cannelloni dessert plus a beer and carafe of red wine for Eur44. (We also overheard everyone raving about the meat which was Eur35 per kilo). This is a great spot to try out!

This meal was simply amazing. After passing from overpriced tourist traps to overpriced tourist traps, this restaurant was simply amazing. The menu, written daily and in print, reflected the specialties of the day. The service was outstanding - and the friendliest in Italy by far. For 49.50 euros, the two of us had 1L of house red wine, antipasta, pasta (delicious black pepper/cheese ravioli in browned butter), roasted rabbit, meatballs and dessert of biscotti with liquour. Authentic, hospitable and welcoming.

We stopped in here while in the market area for lunch, and were very impressed. It's a small place, and the service and food were both fantastic.

We had a huge meal with wine, and still spent less than 60 euros for two people. Great value, and a fantastic little place!
